    Good morning everyone :D

Not much chance of sewing today (it's work day today, 10-2 then again 6.45-8.45 :()

I did manage to turn my OH's trousers up yesterday as he has nearly worn the hems out, only needed 1/2inch of the bottoms.

I loved the Yo-Yo's you have done Kandi and when I saw these on Ebay I thought of you :D

I just had to get the heart ones :rotfl:

Will drop in later today to see what has been done :D

I'm totally lurking on here at the moment as I'm not gettin much made but I've had a look at that dress Bunny and I think it will be fine - as Kandi says, the sleeves balance the bottom half, and the low cut cleavage will also bring the eye upwards, The skirt is quite full to so should skim over your least favourite bits. It's a really liovely dress actully, I fancy seeing if that pattern's still on the market! Can't wait to see it :)

I've added the followers gadget to my blog now, I've never followed anyone so I didn't bother adding it. I use google reader to keep track of the blogs I read (nearly 200 of them! I must prune some, its getting ridiculous!) so I've never understood how the followers thingy works!

All the blogs I follow give me updates in blogger - honestly I like ones that send me emails of the updates most but they seem to rare!
(Sorry my third post in 5 minutes!)

Im completely confused by blogging. I have 8 followers now but how do you know who they are unless their names are the same as on here...or are you not supposed to know anyway? Bring back snail mail, golf ball typewriters and hand written letters!!! Its all tooooo confusing!! :rotfl:

I like strangers following mine best, its a great suprise trying to work out how they found you!

    Morning All:hello:

Bunny ~ i think the dress will look lovely on you. Can't wait to see the pic's:)

Dizzy ~ Well done on selling your Zebra, he's great:T

Kandi ~ Can you tell me how to add your button to my blog please? I'm a bit of a blog novice :(.

I'm looking for a bit of help again guys! I want to make a messenger bag for my little boy, as he likes the bag we made together ( just posted on my blog). However he's nearly 3 and the adult bags are too big! Does anyone know of a tutorial / pattern for a little sized one?

I thionk I want to make it out of denim and I have a fat quarter of Thomas the tank fabric I would like to use on the flap. But I need instructions lol, I'm no good at making these things up as I go.

Also does anyone know of patterns/ tutorial's for baby dresses? I can find loads for toddlers but my daughter is only 4 months old, but I would love to make her some summer clothes that aren't all pink like in the shops!;) Nothing wrong with pink, but she's got loads of it.

Fruit-loop, Id be keen to find out about the bag too as my niece keeps asking me to make her one. I dont think there is a tutorial online because I have been looking for one for the last 3 months or so. I wasnt sure if perhaps it would work if I took an adult tutorial and just reduced all the sizes? I havent attempted to do it yet but might give it a go this weekend and let you know how it turns out. Im not remotely motivated to sew just now so there is the possibility that I wont get round to it!

Have ;yu seen this site which has some small baby clothes to make
    http://babypatterns.atspace.com/overview.html

This blog has a cute dress
    http://www.made-by-rae.com/2008/04/free-itty-bitty-baby-dress-pattern.html

and there are a couple of items on here

    http://www.make-your-own-baby-stuff.com/baby-clothes.html

    and here

    http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns?for=3&most_recent=1

I would add that I made a lot of clothes for my daughter dresses, blousescoats, etc (not quite so much for my sons!) and that the smaller garments can be harder to sew than larger ones.
For example setting a sleeve in a baby garment is a lot more fiddly that in an adult garment.

Hope you find a pattern that you will enjoy making up.

Pootle ~ If you do get around to it, would you let me know which tutorial you used and what you changed the measurements to please?:) I've looked everywhere too and can't find one.

Onewom ~ Thank you for those links,:) I'm off to have a browse now. Thanks also for the advice about smaller clothes being harder, I hadn't thought of that. As I'm a beginner sewer, if I can't find something easy perhaps I'll wait till she grows lol!:rotfl:
