Crafty JuJu I thought the pattern below was quite nice, and it does up with velcro which makes them even more independent

That dress looks really nice. Is the pattern still available?

I dont think it is, I tried searching for a image of it rather than taking a photo and couldn't find it. The info is Simplicity 9111 and the copyright date on it is 1994 so its no older than that but I could only find other patterns (not that searched long and hard!) Might pop down the fabric shop after school run and see what they have.......

    Morning All:hello:

Kandi ~ Can you tell me how to add your button to my blog please? I'm a bit of a blog novice :(.

To add buttons to your blog just copy the button from the blog, (right click, save picture as)and save it on your computer.
Then in your blogger account, from the dashboard,
    ~ click into layout,
~ on the right hand side about half way down select add a gadget,
~ scroll down to the one that says picture and click on the +
~ browse from your computer to add the photo,
~ copy and paste the blog address (from the top address bar) that the button is from into the link box (delete the http:// that is already there first)
~ save and you should be done.

You can then rearrange where the button sits on your sidebad by moving that box down to where you want it, preview to check you are happy, then save.
Hope that is some help, maybe not the easiest way but it's how I do it. :)

Okay I hate to use this word when there are so many amazing things to do in the world, but I'm bored. Found out yesterday my knee surgery is a definate, and I'm just in a flunk because I used to be such an active person.

So does anyone know of an online tutorial for a project I can do to keep me occupied? An hours sewing or a few weeks worth, either is good - just show me your favourite things!

Or those pretty flower things so many people seem to make, anyone know somewhere I can learn to make those?

Also has anyone ever made a quilt? I really want to, but I only ever make clothes, so have no idea where to start!

    Hi Kandi,
Ive added your Giveaway button to my blog - thanks for your instructions, I wouldnt have had a clue otherwise!!! How exciting that you doing fabric swaps too!! (was noseying at your blog earlier)

Fruitloop - Yes of course I can. If I get round to making one before you do I will take a note of everything for you and post details on here. Did you want one with a zip and a flap or just an open one with a flap and a magnetic closure on the flap?

Edit: Ive only just realised people have left comments on my blog recently (thanks everyone!) Is there a way you can be alerted to comments or do you just have to go through your blog and check?

If you go to settings on your dashboard,

    -click comments,
-right at the bottom just above the save button it says Comment Notification Email, add your email address to the box and click save.

Now you should get an email each time someone leaves a comment.

As for the bag, I'm still scared of zips lol, but I must have a go sometime so either fastening is fine thanks.:)

Kandi ~Thank you button is now added!

I have been lurking here for a week or so and have loved catching up with all your wonderful creations. You are all such an inspiration...and a source of lots of lovely info!!

I love making things, but have been mainly knitting and doing cross-stitch the past few months. I made this bag yesterday (well, Thursday night mainly) for my friend's 90th birthday on Friday (yesterday now as it's after midnight :)).

She is in a wheelchair, and needs a small bag to put her water bottle and cordless phone. I made it out of fleeces that I bought at £3.99 each from Dunelm Mill. I plan on making lots of other things with them, including padded covers to fit onto the wheelchair's arms, my poor friend keeps bashing her arms on them.

Here a couple of cross stitch items I also made in the past week.

Right, off to bed now...working in the morning!
