Its similar to wonder web, but usually its a bit firmer. And of course comes in sheets instead of metre lengths, on rolls.
Its used a lot with applique. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
have been buying the new Sew magazine. Its £5.99 each month, but it has some great patterns on it. I think that it might interest you, and your daughter. This months issue has a wrapstyle dress, skirt and peplum style blouse. I got mine in WHSm, but have usually bought it in Mr T, bigger shops too.
Good luck with the sewing. Its great to see so many people beginning to take sewing up again!.
Just to let everyone know i have suscribed to the new sew magazine on special offer 3 editions for £3 and i agree it is great. Def worth doing the special offer and then cancelling the direct debit (or carry on if you want to subscribe for longer :rotfl:)V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
danables Your Tilda makes are gorgeous. :T
I-T-B-H Your changing bag is lovely. I hope your friend loves it.
Kandi that was a shame about your taggies. Some people just don't appreciate nice things (especially home made ones) My OH would still have his if his mum hadn't thrown it out (:shhh:)

Id love to know how you made this? I have a 4 year old who would simply adore it, can I ask how much it cost to make?

Ive signed up for it too but it hasnt arrived yet. Dont think they are doing the 3 for £3 anymore though. Ive heard its great so cant wait until it arrives!! It was my birthday on Friday and I got loads of fabric, vouchers for more fabric, books on sewing techniques and loads of other sewing stuff so cant wait to start a new project. Hoping it will give me some inspiration!!:smileyhea0 -

Thanks PepPop - my friend absolutely loved the change bag which made it easier for me to part with it...! I'm just making another little bag out of one of my little boy's fave pairs of trousers. They are brown cords (size 6-9months) so I've had to patch a lot of bits together to make a half decent size bag - I'm planning on edging it with the same flowery stuff I used for the change bag.
Kandi - can't believe your taggies weren't well received! My sister bought me one (paying loads!) when my baby was born and he loved it once he got a bit older. I guess maybe the new parents were just a bit bemused about parenthood and were a bit sleep deprived (or maybe they were just mean!) Pah to them - your taggies are fab :T:T:T
Genieuk - clap clap clap to your sock monkey! :T
Sunshine12 - I love the list of reasons to buy fabric - went to ikea yesterday and bought more for my stash.... husband not amused. Ho humAnd thanks for the link to that fab site - love it.
Got a couple of tilda homestyle books for my birthday - haven't attempted to make anything yet but the pics are soooo inspiring. I want my house to look like every pageThink I'll be making a few little hanging hearts.
Here's my latest make. Ignore the teddy (who could??) - he's just my obliging model - he's modelling a neck warmer (pouch full of rice, for warming in microwave or cooling in freezer). Tutorial on my blog - not quite as fancy as everyone's amazing clothes (well done pennypinchingmum) but teddy likes it0
