Hi, the morning went well, and i am looking forward to putting together a structured lesson, now I know what is wanted.
Time flew bye, and i found my enthusiasm at last.!!
Busy day tomorrow, so doubt I will be on.
Got a cheap handbag this afternoon, from a charity shop, so I can use the handle to make the bag for my mum. fingers crossed I get the time.

Im so glad it went well, I could have done with you living close to me, I would have snaffled your services up too!
I bet it felt great to do something like this to share something you are good at - i'm a jack of all trades master of none therefore nowt to share worth knowing :rotfl:
Hope you get the bag done, look forward to the picture.

Sunshine12 - Which make and model do you have please?

Mooloo - how did you get on this morning? Hope it went OK and is just the start of a successful venture for you.

    Hi Flossie
I have an Epson RX425. Have had it a couple of years so you might get an upgraded model now. Im at a friends just now but when Im back home Ill put a few books in it and tell you what depth it can go to and try and take a picture of the back of it so you can see what I was on about.

Thank you Sunshine. I am agoraphobic so can't get to the shops to have a look for myself. Don't worry about taking pics, I know what you mean about the back. My current (dead) scanner has a lid which rises to take books and I couldn't do without that facility now. I'm off to check out prices and updated models now.

Just checked my friends printer and it seems to have a raised bit as well so I think they pretty much must all have that function if they do scanning. If you arent likely to be printing photos etc you would maybe be best getting one that has one colour and one black cartridge rather than 4 cartridges (the one I have takes 4 and it can prove quite expensive but worthwhile if you printing photographs.) Hope you get one you like!

Thanks Rosalie. My friends one is HP and does but as you say I guess they must all be different. I thought maybe if they all scanned they would have it but guess not. Sorry Flossie. Mine definately does though as does an HP 2110.

p.s If you see one you like and need help I dont mind going out and having a look for you to make sure it has what you need before you buy it. Know it must be difficult for you not being able to get out.

Got My "Sew" mag today. There is a code for the 3 for £3 offer in it. Its SEW0410 (www.sewmag.co.uk) You just need to cancel within 14 days of receipt of 3rd mag if you dont want to keep getting it. This months is pretty much geared to weddings, as is the free pattern, so bit disappointed with it although it was only £1 so I cant really complain!

Finally finished my skirt today so when BF gets home Ill get him to take a piccie and Ill post.
