This is my quilt that I've been beavering away on. Tis quite small only 31"x31" but easy to put under the sewing machine.

I have been slowly hand stitching at my patchwork. Long long process. I must have been mad to start it.
Life has got in the way a lot though. Dispite having expected to have lots of time on my hands when DGD started school, it just has not happened.
As the saying goes. Maybe next week.

Thanks Mooloo. I was thinking i'd be happy to pay ten pounds per hour. I have my own machine and plenty of fabric so it would just be a case of someone showing me (probably about 100 times) how to thread, and get started as I don't want to run before I can walk. I've found some good tutorials on youtube so maybe I can try to follow those if I can't find someone, but I will ask around first, as someone might know someone who can help.

    Hi Emmarillo
I ditched my corporate job to teach sewing and now teach in schools as afterschool clubs, holiday clubs and I teach adult beginners, giving them the confidence to go on and make things for themselves. In one day we cover different fabrics, threads, machine parts, bobbin, threading, different stitches, hems, seams, and make a tote bag with bow and a zipped pouch to match. Max of 4 people, everything is provided, nice environment. A previous quote from a lady, "has the patience of a saint!" I am a long way from you though but I thought others might be interested even if they are thinking of teaching and have some questions.
    Good luck with your sewing.

This is exactly what I would like to do. I will have to contact you and see how you managed to get started.
Tomorrow is our second lesson, we will finish the tote bag we started I hope, and start on some bunting that she wants for a family new baby on the way.

Nautical themes cushion covers for my MIL for Christmas.
(Need to buy inners so they haven't photographed too well)

Really getting on with all my Christmas knitting and sewing as I'm off work following foot surgery. Would be going stir crazy otherwise.
