Thanks for your kind comments...yup, the flowers are appliqued on, then I used Inktense pencils to add shadows and then quilted them. I did paint the leaces on with fabric paint...so lots of different techniques.

OOOh that sounds fun...loads of fabric to sort through, have fun rufus :)

Did a fair bit of work in the garden with DH this morning, unfortunately he screwed into a finger with the electric screwdriver , so he is collapsed on the sette feeling sorry for himself, the poor thing. :o

Sorting out the conservatory this afternoon, need to tidy away my sewing stuff to make space for all the seeds I am going to sow this weekend. I have found a near-empty drawer in the kitchen to use, so I can keep everything nearby :j

Have a great weekend everyone xx

I have just taken up sewing and was wondering where is the best place to get cheap fabric? I was thinking of getting fat quarters as I am mainly going to be crafting. There is a fantastic sight called spoonflower but it costs a fortune!

    Hi,
I get mine from the Skep, it is local to me and has a fantastic choice, reasonable priced too. They have an Ebay shop too it is called The skep knitting and quilting shop :)

Love the little sewing / drawings that everyone is doing. They are really good! Love the bag Pennib!!

My daughter used to have a taggy blanket when she was a baby which I bought for her. Anyway, she is 6 now and I have a 6 month old son now too. I tried to find her blanket for him to use but don't know where its gone so I made one instead!!

He's feeling a bit better now, thanks, even walked the dog this morning, but the finger is still quite sore, unsurprisingly!

Just looked up the A&C show...it on May 11 to 13th, I'll be back home by then. Shame I'll miss it. Dad is organizing a trip or two to L*th Arts Centre, so I'll get my dose of culture while I'm up! :D

Off to get some scones and fruit loaves made before sorting out my seed sowing plan and actually gettting some seed sown today, shock horror!!!

Love the taggy blanket and sock monkey lesleyp1978, they're great!
