Tis Ok Mooloo I know what you mean :p

The last time I did the subscription was many years ago so got 3 mags on the offer and then cancelled. This time seems 1 mag, that you get for sure, teetering on 2 if you want to go right to the edge and possibly get caught by a direct debit!! (even tho 3 are on the offer) It's still a good deal if you like to buy these mags anyway.
I always read the terms and conditions now of everything before I go ahead.

I know I should read them better. I used to. I suppose I got too busy, or too lazy.:(
Only thing I so far have been caught out on though is Ocado shopping fee of £1 for using my CC. But thats not sewing.

On the sewing front my last purchase from ebay finally arrived from France. Some red/white/blue fabrics for bunting or lining of bags. now that really has to be the last stuff I buy! (when did I say that last?? :()
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

    Hello all!

Just wondering about pinking shears, looking to buy a pair, any recommendations for a brand to buy?

    x

Hi I have pinking shears from Ikea and have been very happy with them. They cost £4.99 I think (hubby got me them for Christmas so sorry to sound vague on the price). I have to say I don't know how they compare with Fiskars.

I have some but they are very blunt.
Never noticed them in Ikea before - which department are they in? I always look at and buy scissors as they go walkies in this house!

Mine tend to just go blunt. I bought myself a set on new ones just after Christmas and keep them up by my sewing machine. I have put the larger ones up out of reach so I can keep them for cutting out but I use the middle ones the most for trimming etc when I am sewing. I left my old scissors (two pairs) in easy reach so if someone is in that room and grabs a pair they will use them and not the new ones, went to trim something the other day with the new middle ones and they wont cut, looks like someone has cut something metal with them

Oh dear rufus, I feel your pain (and anger!!)!

We have a selection of Ikea (and other) scissors in a kitchen drawer for general use. I keep my Fiskars carefully guarded in my craft room. All my family know not to use the orange handles ones...if they value their lives!! :rotfl:

I found a fiskars scissor sharpener a few months ago and use it regularly to keep my scissors nice and sharp. I even sharpen the kitchen ones every so often too. I also have a set of craft scissors to use on non-paper cutting eg paper, template plastic, can't remember where I got them, possibly Ikea, but they don't have Ikea on the blades, good quality though, and a range of sizes.

Sorry for the wittering. I am trying to design a couple of wallhangings for friends' birthdays in a couple of weeks' time, been online to get some image inspiration, and it has worked!

Now need to have lunch and go and collect a ladder.

Have a great day everyone x

Once you've paid the £1, then you have paid for 3 magazines. You can cancel the day after the direct debit has gone out and they will still have to send you 3 magazines.

Same applies to the 3 for £3/£4 or whatever. I've done lots of these offers and as long as you remember to cancel the direct debit after the first payment has gone out, then you will receive the trial number of magazines without being charged any more.

Agree and understand all that, but unsure about when you pay via Paypal. They cannot take any further payments, unlike if you give CC or DD details.
Perhaps Paypal is the best way to pay then?
