Well done rufus on your fantastic bargain!! :T
Lovely adaptaion of the dress Georgiabay...looks brilliant!
Just ordered my 5 for £5 Craft$eller magazine. May cancel it later, don't know. I've been enjoying the past few month's mags, but as you say, it may get tired or repetitive over a few more months.
Hoping for a stitchy weekend...fingers crossed!!!

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I am looking for ideas/advice.
I managed to make a few of my Christmas gifts using felt and fabrics. I got quite into it and now would like to make a handbag liner, i.e. one that can be moved from handbag to handbag so that you don't leave behind important things like your mobile/diary etc.
Anyway, just wondered if anyone has made one or knows of an easy pattern to make one. I am envisaging a few little compartments to help keen things organised.
I bought some cheap Cath Kidston napkins and tea towels the other day and thought they might be cut up and put to such use but I am just not sure where to start.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.0 -

There has been something like this on the thread somewhere! May be on the Sewing room no chat thread. Someone may be along who can give you the link, but its definitely around somewhere. If I find it I will come back with the link.
Moo
My fabric from Jackies has been delivered to my old home. The tenants will let me go and collect it this evening. phew. Will not be doing that again in a hurry.
I have received a pice of Cath Kidston Monorose in the Duck blue colour way, that I have had success selling bags from, and I am pleased that it is in a good big piece, about a metre of it, and will be possible to make similar bags from.
Didnt get to sew yesterday. Too hectic a day, but hoping to sew this afternoon when DGD is at a birthday party. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Rufusdog; Jealous of your embroidery haul. Bargains like that up here are few and very far between0 -
For those of you near to an IKEA, I've just noticed online, they are selling plain cotton fabric at £2.99 a metre, black, blue, red, yellow, green and white. I have been very disciplined, even tho my friend is going today and offered to get me anything I wanted!! I now have the hope the day goes quickly, so I don't change my mind and text her in a moment of madness!0
