Avster that's one very posh apron, just the ticket for serving up posh tea and scones!
Florenceem; I love the foot stuffers, what a great idea and lovely material. I guess you could do them in more 'manly' material for blokes......especially trainers!0 -
Rikki thats so funny, and so true!0

I've been posting on the sock monkey board but thought you guys might appreciate this also. I'm a first time crafter and in real MSE style I decided to make sock monkeys for everyone this Christmas! They have been taking around 3 hours each and I'm almost regretting my idea! Only two left to make now though....0

I would love to make my mum a quilt but really dont know where to start so can anyone point me in the right direction or a website that has step by step idiots guide to doing one.I watched a film over christmas where a lady made a quilt out of her daughters old clothes. (like a memory quilt) but there wasnt any instruction lol.
Thank you and Happy New Year
Dora xx
I taught myself patchwork quilting from the hundreds of tutorials on the web. A great place to start is One Pretty Thing, its a sort of collection of all the best craft blogs and tutorials updated daily. There is an index to its own archive. If it isnt in there it probably isnt on the web!0 -

I am still working on shoe stuffers and sock monkeys. I have completed a Santa sack for my youngest Grandchild. I have made them all sacks for their pressies - eight Grandchildren so far. Tradition was - when my children were small - they took a pillowcase up to bed on Christmas Eve - Santa then put a couple of pressies in the sack - on the end of their bed - the rest he put under the Christmas tree. I will take a photo of the Santa sack tomorrow.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
