I've had my 13yo daughter home today after what could be an allergic reaction or may be the start of a virus according to the Dr, so I taught her to make crazy patchwork stockings (which was a bit like the blind leading the blind as I'd never made one before either!

Here's a pic of our efforts (hers is the girlie one, mine is the christmassy one - they're not quite finished yet - still have the tops to do! ;) ):

scholfield8883 - I haven't any experience with that machine, but my Grandmother had a similar but slightly bigger lidl one I could never get on with (but I hear plenty of people rate them). Sorry I can't be more helpful

Mooloo - I hope you have lots and lots of fun, I wish I was going on a craft weekend!

they look great you both did a good job well done

Received my first fabric order yesterday. Love them! :) I think I'm going to make some hearts and birds, maybe make them lavender smell or just normal to hang as Xmas decorations as the fabrics are quite christmassy.

I'd also love to buy these two scandinavian themed fabric bundles:

I have the opportunity to get some IKEA fabric - 25m (150cm width) think the name is STELLA in green and white fairly thick stripe. is 24 euros a good price - has anyone used this fabric (I cant touch it if that makes sense so dont know how thick etc - my OH has just message me all the details). I think its a good price but right now have a brain f@rt what to do with it.

Quick update I now own 100m (yes 100m :eek::eek::eek:) of the stuff. They scanned it through at a euro per 25 metre roll so my OH decided not to waste a bargain and bought 4:eek::eek::eek: rolls of it.
