I am going to the Knit & stitch show at Alexander Palace on Friday - if anyone else is going, I would love to meet up briefly for a coffee & "show & tell" as I will be going on my own. PM or FB me.

I have got a few bargains in the charity shop this week -

a beautiful piece of tweed type fabric, only much finer. The selvedge says "W.Bill, Lamlana" It feels really, really soft, I had a quick google, it is a wool, angora & cashmere blend. I have about 50cm wof. ALthough I have already cut out a dinosaur for DS2 Christmas pressie. The rest will possibly be a buttercup bag or cushion cover (might even get both as fabric very wide). I can only imagine what it must cost per m! but the piece cost me 50p!!!

I also managed to get a few more embroidered linens for my long-term quilt project.

And I finally have managed to get my hands on The Readers Digest Sewing book for grand total of £3!!!

    So I am well pleased.

Tamster, I am well jealous of you going to the Ally Pally do, I wanted to go last year, was going to go with my SIL but she dipped out at last minute (we hadnt bought tickets yet were going to pay on the door). I couldnt go as I am not good travelling on trains and she was going to take me in her car. My other sister went on her own but then she lives nearer to it than me so could get there easily.

I have been doing a bit more sewing today, I was making some more saddle bags but this time I have left the zip pocket off the back of the bag just going to do the inside ones and the two on the front. I have got the outside shells done for 5 bags and have 3 more ready to sew up, then I will just need to sew up the linings.

I wont get any sewing done tomorrow as OH has had to work tonight so he will be asleep all day.

I sold one of my bags on Monday from my Folksy shop, first one I have sold so hope she likes it.

Everyone here makes such lovely things - mine are put to shame by them! That bag is gorgeous. :)

I made two aprons today, but no pictures as yet. One was just a plain boring one, but the second came straight out of my imagination and has box pleats and ric rac. It's lovely so far, but I just need to finish the ties and it's all done.

yeah, I have managed to use my Memory Slice machine to cut out the letters for a bunting that I have on order. Ironed them onto my triangles and thats the end of me for a while. Need to rest.

Sorry - I'm struggling to change the picture sizes on photobucket. I shall keep trying though.

It was really windy this afternoon, hence the bad pics. I will try again tomorrow, unless it's raining or something else annoying like that!

Thank you. In the pictures, the 'boring' one looks prettier (certainly looks better ironed!) then the dotty one, but in RL, the dotty one is so pretty...........and I don't really do girly and I think it's lovely!

I love the fabric too - it's 'Bird Trail' from Clarke and Clarke.
