Hi, can anyone suggest a use for foam sheet please? I found a piece - 3/4 inch thick - 27 by 15 inches big. I hate landfill.

I am sorting out bits I brought back from Mil's flat - decisions - do I keep/sell the haberdashery? I have a lot myself already. I found some vintage cotton reels and buttons as well as hooks/eyes/skirt bars/hooks/press studs.
There was quite a lot of bias binding - vintage but again.....will I use it? I am meant to be decluttering.
I found a vintage apron - needs a wash to freshen it up. I won't keep it - I like full length aprons - messy cook and cleaner.....this one is a half pinny style but cute.

I love your top Georgia :T it makes me want to have a go at clothes :D

Artydoll :D the quilt is stunning, Im sure if you put it on ebay you will have everyone bidding on it :D please don't bin it :o

Florence :D you could use the foam to make a kindle/phone/camara bag/pouch :o

I started to put another bag together yesterday, the front went with out a hitch but the back zip pocket has been a pain so Im leaving it until tomorrow when I don't have to rush about :(

I went to clean at Mrs J's this morning and she was having a clear out of all her fabrics so Ive come home with loads more and some stuff that is supposed to used in making pelmets but we both decided it would be ideal as a base for bags so she gave me half of a very large roll as she knows I love making bags :j
She has also told me when she has finished clearing out her linen cupboard I can have a load of duvet covers that were only used once :j
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Artydoll I would put it on ebay under the Antiques > Fabric/ Textiles > Quilts category.

Florence thats a major bargain. Wish I had a hobby craft near me. Ive got loads of little random pots of stuff and that would be great for keeping everything together.

Sue, that lady is certainly keeping your stocks up isnt she! You lucky thing. x

You could see if anyone is interested on Ebay? or the facebook page?
The Apron may sell on ebay, under vintage.

I made fabric storage boxes for my sisters for Christmas last year and used some foam like this in the bottom covered with the same fabric to give the bottom some strength (I think there are photos on my blog, would be near the beginning). They were about 16 x 12 across the bottom and about 11 inches high with handles each end.

I have finished off the two cushions I was making using the crazy patchwork. Here a couple of photos. (There are more on my blog)

I have added them to my shop. I had someone contact me yesterday about one of the other ones I did with the house and people on, she wanted to know if I could add a little boy to the front of one of them, she said she is away from today until the beginning of September but will buy it when she gets back. I have altered the cushion, would be a laugh if it sold before she comes back lol but I wasn't going to take it off sale as she might change her mind when she gets home.

I enjoyed doing the crazy patchwork cushions, I had to stop myself with the decorating in the end or I would have used everything up on the two cushions and had nothing left. I am dying to make some more but OH is back on nights again until Monday so no chance of using the sewing machine until at least Monday eve or may be even Tuesday.

They are really good cushions Rufusdog.
I have decided to spruce my sittingroom up when I get back of holiday. No time before. The cushions are the best way to go.
I have some Tangarine Curtains at the moment, and a striped carpet, with Pale green leather sofa's. So lots of colour, but my cushions are nearly all Cream. Boring things I inherited.
I havent been near my blog for days.
