    Love your bags Midge :T
I have so beige faux suede, it was a curtain sample (one of those mini curtains in shops that make them for you) but I just can't find a nice pattern to use it :o Im not sure if I should make a clutch bag or a bigger bag with it, the fabric is big enough :) but it's a pale colour so not sure if anyone would like a bigger bag :o

Well Im off to do more sewing :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Hart and Midge your bags are absolutely gorgeous.
I feel like such a fraud on this thread, I haven't sewn anything for weeks :( What with working and the fact other half has completely taken over the house with his 'sorting out' I don't seem to have the time or space bwaaaaah! But still love looking at all your lovely makes :)

I finished off the babies nappy cover, diaper things. What ever they are called. Frilly knickers!.
I also had an order for a coin purse, and a matching tissue cover, to accompany a bag I had already in stock. So they are finished and another bag is well on the way to being made. But its lunch time, and then DGD finishes Nursery at 1pm. So maybe some sewing this evening when I have collected twin1.
Will take photos tomorrow, the light today is not very good.

Avstar :Dit is still lovely that you still keep in touch so don't feel like a fraud :D
I always wish I either had more hours in the day or I could win the lottery so I could just sit and sew without work or housework in the way :rotfl:

I love making bags :D and try to make easy one or I have to wait till the wkend to do any of the others :o
My Aunt came to visit me last wkend and showed me the denim bags she makes, they are beautiful, she embroiders on the front.
I have brought a denim skirt of ebay for 99p so I can make a bag from it :D
I will post a pic (if it turns out ok lol).

Just wondering if any of you lovely people know where I can get the following:

Old wooden bobbins - genuine vintage or repro, at decent prices?

Also, for the Flickr fans out there, if it ok to link your photos outside of Flickr? Or even post them into a thread like this?

    Thank you :)

Aw thanks Hart, I love this thread (and how appropriate it's called a thread :rotfl: )

Sorry handsewn I'm not sure about flickr - I use photobucket and they seem fine about posting links to your own photos on websites.

Can I ask opinions and advice please? Do you pre-wash fabric? And if so doesn't it create an almightly mess in your washing machine by unravelling? I keep reading on websites that you should pre-wash fabric to prevent shrinkage but don't want to ruin my machine with loose threads?

What lovely makes Midge and Hart.

I decided to get a Janome machine and it's just arrived after ordering it yesterday from Sewing Machines Direct. The free gift you get with it is amazing. I haven't unpacked it yet as I'm tidying up my sewing table.
