Hello all:hello: Loving all the new makes:T Well I've been mega busy making stuff for my shop but have been following this thread as often as possible. I've also made my first batch of soap after doing my soap course which I'm thrilled about:jI have to leave it for 4 weeks to cure, I hope I can leave it alone for that long:o

Thankyou I'm glad you like him:D I've tried to think how I can explain to you how I make the wings but it's really difficult:o I might try and take pictures with instructions, a sort of tutorial and put it on my blog;)

Hi, £14.90 that is expensive:eek: I bought mine from Boyes and I would say it's probably medium coloured, not the light and definitely not dark. Does that make sense? Mine is a cotton/linen mix, I can't remember what I paid exactly but I bought half a metre which was waaaay too much:D but at least I have plenty to last me. I think I paid about £4 - £5 for it.
I'm not much use to you am I :o

Your soap looks good enough to eat stardrops!

A tutorial on your blog sounds great I will definitely stay tuned!

I also LOVE your owl plushies and am thinking about making something similar but filling it with rice to use as a doorstop for my daughters room, not sure if it would topple over but might give it a go. Id also like to make a draught excluder if I can find some nice reds/browns/bieges so it matches the living room, I like the look of the cat ones on Etsy but i think that would be to complicated for me and take ages, I need to build up confidence in my sewing abilities first.

Here are a couple of my monkeys, not half as good as yours but they are my better ones, and my 1 and 3 year olds seem to like them so thats the main thing!- not sure if I should sew the hat to their heads though as they keep coming off! Iv tried so many times to learn to knit but I just cant do it so had to make do with making friendship bracelets for the scarfs and using part of another sock for the hats.

  • Hi everyone:) I sent off an order from one or the websites one of you lovely people recommended the other day and am waiting on my parcel which is on its way. I pressed the thanks button sorry I can't remember the person's name but was delighted with the site. I have the new sewing machine since last year and it only came out of the box last week. I was very nervous but put on the d.v.d and threaded it all up, and practised sewing on a scrap of material. The machine is a brother and it can do lots of different stitches, and I am a complete beginner, but am going to make something once my parcel arrives. I feel quite excited about starting on my new adventure:) There are so many gorgeous projects and makes on here, and you are all so talented. I hope I can learn to be as well. I just love this site. I have decided to leave the knitting for now and embark on this.:)

Danables - your monkeys are brilliant! The hats and scarves finish them off just lovely, I think you should also post them here.

Babyboysmummy - you may also get your answer on how to make them in that thread, if not PM me your email address and I can send you the sheet I used to make mine.
