    Great news greent! :T

    IN

Nothing so far :rotfl: - great achievement - but DH is bringing in pizza from Asda, so that's pending.

    OUT (all kitchen)

CV and application form for a job - fingers and toes crossed.
Email to ex-employers asking for my personal belongings back.
    Broken wine glass.
Gummed up jelly beans in tin, which have been festering for months.
Various empty or unusable bottles of sauce rinsed and put into recycling.
'You are 30' foil bouquet and weight.
Empty tealights - replaced with new ones from stash.
Bowl of cooked chicken (cat 'decluttered' that in about three seconds flat!)
Dishes and bowls returned to mum.
    Horrible dip/spice mix - binned.

Finally got all the dishes and pans off surfaces and washed and dried, piled up all DH's chocolate boxes which have bits in 'em, wiped everything down, cleaned the sink, and cleaned and polished my chrome toaster :o which was looking ready for the tip TBH, but it's come up a treat - almost like new. My only problem now is that you can see the bare plaster walls in the kitchen - still waiting for my splashbacks to be installed, I've only been waiting three and a bit years!

    Evening all :D

Welcome to Janebo12 and ASC - there is always room on the decluttering bus!

Moneymaker - dont worry whatever sort of declutterer you are, as long as you feel comfortable with it is all that matters. Promise there are no decluttering police about to visit  I know I will still be decluttering stuff into next year whatever because everyone else in the house is not good at it

So today has been another fairly quiet day for me but I have been trying to keep to the rule that whatever bag comes in gets thrown out with rubbish in it :D

    So today IN:
Order from Office - 2 pairs of skyscraper heels, useless for popping to the shops in but gorgeous!
Post - some of it not even mine
Cards from the Boots sale - all decluttered away into the box with the wrapping paper.

    Out:
    Underwear back to M&S
Cardi back to M&S - gorgeous but it really was too big no matter how hard I tried to tell myself it wasnt!
    Post all sorted or shredded
2 magazines out to the doctors having been read
    2 bags of recycling
    1 bag of rubbish

Tomorrow is an enforced day in as waiting for a new mattress for DS2 to be delivered, so think I will tackle some of the kitchen cupboards.

Greent - fab news!! Hope the op goes well. Magpye fingers and toes crossed for you x

Hope everyone is having a good day, the snow is supposed to be on its way back to us shortly - not that ours has actually left from the last time yet!

We had loads of snow overnight, so couldn't declutter DD to school. I believe the school was open, but we got halfway there and turned back - it's the better part of a mile to school. It was snowing heavily and very slippery underfoot.

Having her home slowed me down a bit...even so, I've managed to do the following:

    IN:
Post - mostly useful, the rest has been recycled.

    OUT:
Bag of old wrapping paper - we tend to keep odds and ends of this, but it would be embarrassing to actually use it on anyone's present.
Used envelopes, jiffy bags, and so on.
    Scorched oven glove
3 egg boxes that were lurking, waiting for the next time I go to the farm - which won't be for quite a while if the snow stays...
Mouldy wicker basket from the bathroom cupboard and some out of date toiletries.

Hopefully the bin men will come sometime soon - we haven't seen them for a while. They were due to come on Monday this week, but the snow stopped them getting the lorries around the estate. They've told us to leave the rubbish at the kerbside. It's not a pretty sight...

Oh, and it's been raining here :j Not much, but it's a start...

Great post but just in case anybody panics, I am a hoarder by nature and have been intending to declutter for years. I am aiming to make my home more presentable with more room to move around but realistically I think that I may well be on this thread for years to come :D

Don't worry, I will probably still be here :rotfl:

Decluttered a few books, and the recycling bins have been emptied. Our grey bin hasn't been emptied for 3 weeks, and now won't be emptied until next Wednesday

Good news greent, and good luck Magpye

In = couple of bits of post, resisted getting some mags as have a few scattered around the house...

    Out =
    magazine (see told you) (charity)
2 x sachets of face cream (used and binned)
garden ties (still in packaging, charity)
    Blank DVD case (charity)

Back to Tasks still to do this month
clear bedroom floor (of clutter and 5 bags of stuff)
sort glasses - loads of glasses of all shapes and sizes (not as bad as I thought so will remove this as a task and instead add another task)
clear spare bedroom floor (of clutter and about 25 bags of stuff), re-establish as bedroom
Do all this for a reward to book a spa break!

I am slowing down. Finding going to work and doing this hard. But it will be worth it. It will make things so much easier. So am going to empty another bag from the spare room, to try and make it up to 10 things gone today. Well done to everything dealing with their paperwork.:A
