Only managed a little bit today, must get more motivated! Having said that, I'm pleased with what i've done so far, I'm starting to notice a difference in the place
IN: Grocery shop from Asda, including two new costume jewellery necklaces reduced to 50p each - not sure whether I'll keep or put in pressie stash yet
OUT:
- 20 more Avon catalogues - recycled
- empty shoe box
- pair of curtains (brand new I'd forgotten about that were in the bottom of the ironing basket and have changed colour scheme since I bought them) and two cushion covers collected by a fellow freegler
- 3 tshirts put in charity clothes collection in supermarket car park
- big bag of carrier bags put in sainsburys carrier recycling bin
actually, that looks better than I thought for today :TGOD BLESS DURAN DURAN

What a great thread - just what I need to motivate me!! I'm not the worst hoarder in the world but my tolerance of clutter is pretty low & just recently far more has been coming in than going out and it's started to make me feel uncomfortable.
. I need to reverse the trend....
Main issues for me are:- My addiction to charity shops / pound shops; (quote from my 9 year old "you waste a lot of money on bargains don't you mum?")
- We're living on a fairly tight budget so I feel like I should be selling stuff to generate income where I would normally have just given it away. Unfortunately I'm pretty unmotivated about selling (other than books) so I get "stuck".
... if there's room for another that is?Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

Always room for more - keeps us warm in the snow :j
What I have done is made a list of stuff we need or need to replace and the money I generate from selling the "stuff" pays for those things. So last week it paid for the really useful boxes for my wrapping paper, then it motivates me to do a bit more
Good luck and let us know how you do :TFree/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -

Nothing
Out black bin got emptied this morning,I had to put it out boy it was heavy, glad its been empty I can fill it up again.
I need some boxes to organise things eg one for presents, one for craft stuff etc etc. They had some in morrisons last week 2.50 each or 5 for £10 they were a good size too, missed out due to the snow etc really kicking myself they were perfect with clear sides so you could see what was in them, they had lids so were stackable.
May have to check poundland next time I am in there see if they have any large ones.
Welcome to all the new contributors.

Morning. My plan for today is the kids' rooms. It's not too bad in there but I think I could cull the books and give them a general tidy up.
Hello to all you newbies! :hello:0 -
Hi everyone!
Don't think I shall be doing much when I get home today. I was going to see my partner in south Yorkshire on Saturday after work but I have put it off until next weekend as don't fancy a trip up over the hills in the dark & ice. Always go over the hills as I can't bring myself to drive on motorways so instead I intend to clear cupboards and drawers in the bedroom.
I have however taken a jar of coffeee from the hoard to work & I forgot to say in my post yesterday that I returned two items to Argos for a refund.
One of the items was an Argos Home delivery & they refunded the delivery charge as well as for the item.
I was surprised at this. Does anyone know if this is their usual practice?0 -
Funfair princess, (if you can wait) ebay have a free listing day on Sunday :j I'm gonna get all my stuff on then if I can - I have 7 items already on there that didn't sell last time and just waiting for another free day :money:
Another good morning here today :A - have sorted out the cupboard under the stairs - not sure how so much junk gets in there as the washer and dryer are under there
IN: Nothing (so far) and no plans to get anything
OUT:
- Pair of curtains I found behind the washing machine that were covered in some kind of oil:o
- Some posh paper bags I was keeping 'just in case'
- Some odd gloves
- 20 cds not claimed on freegle so they're out
- cd wheel not claimed on freegle - charity shop
- ps2 and games holder not claimed on freegle - charity shop
- old school satchel of DS'
Have also listed 13 handbags on freegle so will list as out when collected. If not, will send to charity shop
*edit* blimey - in the time it took me to write this post, I've had two emails about the bags already so looks like the may go today!GOD BLESS DURAN DURAN
