I have just discovered this thread & it is just what I need.

We have just moved back into house after 6 months extension & refurb (it is still not finished but it is getting there) So I have all of our things that went into storage to unpack - I think I need to be ruthless - my thinking being if we havn't touched it for 6 months then do we need it.

The task is so big it is a bit overwhelming & I start another job this week (whilst still doing old one for another 3 months)

I don,t want to give myself an unrealistic target as it will put me off so I am aiming to do a box/drawer/bag a day.

Started today by sorting through a load of receipts/bank statements & credit card bills from the last 6 months. All info updated on expenditure spread sheet, bits needed have been filed & others binned or put in bag ready for shredding. (I just need to locate the shredder)

This feels good hopefully it will become a habit rather than a chore so declutter.
