Does anyone know if it's ok to put a bin liner inside a shredder? Would make it so much easier to empty.

Sounds like a brilliant idea as long as there's no way it can get caught in the shredding bit as you'd never get it out. I'm going to try it out with a surplus plastic shopping bag.

Ben - that's what we do - use a carrier bag as a liner. Works great.

IN - Food shop. I nearly bought a food processor from Tesco for just under 35.00. Managed to resist though. I'm sure I have one somewhere already.

    OUT - Nothing yet.
  • MAGPYE, thats awful, fingers crossed for you :grouphug:, (i am hoping that means hugs?? ;)) hopefully something will turn up soon xx I must be the only person on here, who struggles to get done when the kids are off school:o. • Out: Lots of food that's been lurking in cupboards and the freezer and has had to be eaten cos I can't get to the shops.

In: Nothing (until I can get to the shops which will have to be soon as I've no tea bags!!!!)

am now going to venture outside and attempt to declutter the drive of snow! (Does that still count?) Probably not one of my better ideas but am going to have to get the car off the drive at some point!

So far, so good today (if I could just keep off the internet I'd be flying lol)

Cleared out towel storage basket, not thrown anything out but it's tidy and I found a few tea towels and hand towels in there so they've been moved to kitchen.

Also cleared out toiletries in bathroom storage unit - got a bag of stuff (mostly self tanning stuff, which I never use so god knows why I have it anyway  ) for freegle.

Got a friend coming round to make me dinner this evening :D so need to have a tidy up of hallway as its cluttered up - so that's this afternoon's job, along with shredding yesterday's paperwork sort out.

*Edit* forgot to day - IN: shopping from Asda (didn't need anything but had a MS to do so stoked up on a few essentials - washing capsules, cat food, um...cider...

IN - Food for lunchtime, duly eaten and now showing as 'out' :D
A Garlic Holder from the Charity Shop (I took nothing down there, decided to pop it up for a carboot later in the year).
A bruised hand and bottom from my stonker of a fall on the way down town :o - I gave a few people a laugh anyway  :rotfl:.

OUT - ** Looks around to see if she's actually got rid of anything today ...... er..... nope ! :p

I promise to try better this afternoon, I'll find 10 things to get rid of :T.

I cleaned out a kitchen cupboard. I found an electric steamer, a steam steriliser, a food processor (I knew I had one!), several chocolate tins - empty, sadly, a bag of plastic knives and a bag of plastic forks!

I also found some insulated food containers, which I didn't know I had. They'll come in handy.

So sorry to hear your news Maypye have a rest, and let it sink in. Then start dusting off the CV. Sending hugs. :A

In = clothes order of 4 items, 1 will definitely be returned. If I keep any something from the wardrobe has to go in exchange.

    Out =
Toiletries x 2 (body butter and perfume used up, packaging recycled)
Magazines x 2 (one recycled, one to charity)
    Papers (lots) (recycled)
    Book (charity)
Dog muzzle for dearly departed doggie (charity)
Stale cereal lurking at top of cupboard (packaging recycled)
Candle (bought a set of these on sale, used up and packaging recycled)

Pending Out = book "He's just not that into you", a real chick-lit, shouldnt take too long to read. Keep up the good work everyone. For those with kids hanging around are you able to get them to sort out a few toys for charity? :A
