The Great Declutter Part 2
Comments
-
Hi, hope you don't mind if I join in. I know it's a bit late in the year but I haven't posted for some time (lost my OS way for a while:(), but now need to get going again. I've started a major declutter as I've had a few days off work.
So, going out today:
3 bags of old towels to charity bin
1 broken coffee table
2 bags of jars and bottles to recycling
Today's goals are to shred lots of old receipts and start tidying DD1's room while she's away:).GC April 93.92/5000 -
boys room decluttered apart from dust ontop of wardrobe., and looking great!
dd supposedly working on her room - hasnt done it in 5 !!!!! months. And the bin bags will be out at 2.30 if its not done by then ...
decluttering our room again - the general dumping ground. The school fete is postponed for a week which gives me more time to sort stuff out for them :-)))
dd is very very sulky, but her room looks lovely - a mixture of the bin for loads of cut up paper, and the loft for the rest0 -
Did everyone get the ebay free listings email?
No listing fees this weekend whatever the start priceShort notice but I've got things lined up with photos taken a couple of weeks ago - feeling v organised! It's good for things it's not worth your while packaging up if they go for 99p.
Hoping the charity shops will be open tomorrow and I can rid myself of a bag that's been sitting around a while. I go every saturday for a look round but i'm so forgetful0 -
Hi everybody
I hope I can join in on the decluttering. Its just that I have a whole 3bed house with lots of junk in it and feel overwhelmed. I promised my mum that I would roll my sleeves up and muck in. We are both horders (family trait).
I dont know how to get myself over that intial feeling that its going to take forever. I want to make my life more organised and im sure somebody has said tidy house healthy mind.
Thank you in advance for any advice will be greatly appreicated.

The only useful advice from me is to do things in 15 minute chunks! I find I get bored or lose focus after that and tend to leave things lying around! 15 minutes to clear out 1 drawer, to clear out one cupboard etc. Mini steps!
Good luck.0 -
Out today
the fride freezer that was out yesterday, it only went as far as my garden - now my neighbour asked if they could have as theirs is on the bung (mines is broken a little, no handle, a few other internal cosmetics etc), so i helped them take it out through the house.
IN
parents old dishwasher and washing machine
my old washing machine (less than 3 years old, and only used a max of 2 times a week!) will be gone this weekend, another neighbour would like it (need to remember and wash the drawer out)
3 supermarket bags of random rubbish from the living room/hall and kitchen
