    including dry wet wipes,

No, stick them under the tap and wet them again - that's what I always do when they dry out.

    Can't throw anything out...

    Best wishes

2024 - happy, healthy, quality over quantity, buy nothing new (and 2nd hand only if NEEDED), mindful spending, nurturing myself and family, living for now.

Mortgage @ 31/12/23 £248k - too high, interest rate gone up - want this down asap!
    Debt @ 31/12/23 £16k - no interest - will clear over 5 years hopefully.
Emergency savings £4k - been ransacked over last year - needs attention :-(
  • Tidied dining room today [not quite the same as decluttering!] and yesterday sorted out a few things:

    Out -
*Burned loads more cardboard/papery rubbish when lighting fire
*Some spare old material got transformed into inner bags to hold beans for 2 beanbags [MIL bought us some last year, but the beans were not in a lining bag and kept leaking and escaping, so they got put in the shed til I fixed them up]

    In -
*Two beanbags from the shed, now fixed!

Good luck de cluttering everyone! I have to say this is one of my all time fave hobbies with cleaning. haha I am very good at de cluttering (if I say so myself) I used to love tidying and sorting with my mum when younger, and its carried on from there. I mostly give stuff to charity shops, sell in car boot or on ebay.

Hi, my house is a tip and want to do some decluttering

Do u have any tips/tricks? as u love it :)

    Thanks x

My flat is already quite tidy but I don't have a lot of storage space so it does get messy quickly. My aims this year are to keep the place tidy and to throw away stuff rather than just leaving it on the floor!

    In:

    a shirt I left at a friends
a dress and handbag (vintage shopping!)
    food shop

    Out:
    Paper recycling
    Plastic/Tin recycling
    Food scraps recycling
bits from my food shop to work for breakfasts

    Pending:
    Yet more paper recycling
I've started yet another bag of clothes to go to the charity shop

I'm also clearing out my freezer so I have a chilli prawn pasta dish for lunch tomorrow and wednesday and curry on thursday

    in = 0

    out =
toiletries x 5! (used up bits and pieces) - only 2 bits of packaging could be recycled
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

In: One unsolicited piece of mail which went straight in the bin.

Out: A massive bag of rubbish, a massive bag of CDs to CEX and a packet of popcorn because I am going to the cinema later. Also out: 1 book to Greenmetropolis.com customer.

Also in today: An impulse buy of a lingerie set.
