15 items listed on E-bay, fingers crossed!
Started on my sewing things - very sad to be listing some of my hoarded cross stitch kits, but my hand isn't good enough for fine stitching anymoreI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
flipper_2010 I think with books it depends if you have the space and if you will read them again. If it's fiction you won't read again I'd charity shop, try green metropolis or give away. Then see how many you're left with.
longhotbath - that's impressive - must of taken a while.
luxor4t - sorry to hear you've had to list things you can't use anymore, hopefully they'll bring in lots of money that you can use to buy something useful and that the space they leave can be put to good use too.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Had a pretty productive weekend considering how tired we were:
11 items to the charity shop, mainly clothing
32 items listed on ebay, 8 of which I can do second chance offers on too, mainly small things but it's a start.
2 things listed on small ads at work
3 things listed on amazon
16 things listed on MusicMagpie - considering offer now.
Taken a car load of cardboard, WEE, metal, wood, plastic bags and a bit of general rubbish to the tip
More recycling into our bins at home.
Things put away.
Also made the Christmas cake, last of tomatoes in pasta sauce now in freezer and new tyres for car!
This week I need to sort my guiding stuff out it's taking over the house a bit.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

We're getting ready to move to a smaller property [probably], as the council are rehoming us due to health problems - we will be moving into an adapted property
I have quite a big house at the moment and clutter everywhere - oh where to start, where to start
So far, three black bags of books, four bags of teddies, two bags of videos have been collected by interested parties, however it doesn't even seem to have made a dent in the clear out.
I'm pretty sure we wont be able to take everything with us, but it just seems like a mammoth task right now.

Hellooooo!
I've been decluttering via the Flylady thread ^-^
Just take a look at my signature to find out how many things I've chucked etc.
Off to the charity shop tomorrow morning with some old books and stuff.Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0 -
Early morning all,
Not been here for a while. Been feeling poorly. I need to take mini charge of things again. Who's up for a challenge this weekend? Say get rid of 100 things?
My incentive is that the local hospice shop is running low on stock so I'm going to be ruthless.
Who's up for a challenge, of whatever shape or form?Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I seriously need to do some de-cluttering and storage sorting - haven't seen the tops of my coffee table and dining table for around 8wks .
- I promise to make a start at midday today and I WILL eat my lunch while sitting at a clear table, in a civilised manner, with table laid properly with placemat and cutlery.
- I will also clear my coffee table, so that I can sit down with a cup of coffee and biscuit around 4.00 for a break before getting on with the evening meal.
- This evening, I promise to clear my computer desk thoroughly.
Good luck to everybody - Ollie
