My old fridge/freezer, which I sold on Ebay, was collected today so now have a nice clear space in my kitchen. Cleared the paperwork from the computer desk, now filed/recycled. Listed 84 items so far on Ebay, but still got some more to list.

Wow Sue, 84 items! :T I managed 8 (was aiming for 5, so pleased I got over target.)

Had a small spree in Ikea today...
Two fitted sheets, chopping board, pillow for OH, six glasses, cutlery set, kilner jar, four storage boxes and some patterned ribbon. (Jar and ribbon are for xmas gifts.)

    Out

    Packaging from above purchases recycled
Old cutlery set (two of the forks were broken and the rubber stuff on the handles was peeling off, so didn't think anyone else would want!)
    Old chopping board

    Pending Out

Jumper, DVD and video into charity bag - will aim to fill it and take on Saturday.

I saw my mum at the weekend and gave her an almost full can of hair mousse as I know she'll use it, she gave me some books to read and a puzzle for OH to do and some birthday pressies for next month so not great but hopefully pressies are useful and other things can go back.

Some more interest in things I'm selling through work and the 4 things that didn't sell on ebay relisted, got home too late to start doing any more listings.

I feel I'm getting there slowly but need to make more progress this week.

Today I took an old rusty pole, some old keys, blunt scissors and some shoes to the recycling centre, cleared the huge pile of clean washing off the lounge chairs (thankfully most of it didn't need ironing), and shredded some more paperwork. Also managed to get the rest of the food from my old freezer into the new one, so now I can get the old one cleaned up ready to sell, so I can then get my tumble dryer which has to go where the freezer is at the moment.

At the moment I'm watching a programme on Discovery Home and Health called I'm A Hoarder, these are people who seriously need to de-clutter, I can honestly say that although I am (was) a terrible hoarder, my home has never been as bad as the homes in this programme!

I got 87 items on in the end, I have to admit that a lot of it is CDs that DS left when he moved out last year, but there's also some of his clothes that he doesn't wear anymore and PS1 games that he doesn't play anymore (I do have his permission to sell them, lol!) as well as some stuff that I don't use anymore or have never used! I've got bids on 2 items already, not much out of 87 but every little helps, and there are still a few more days to go yet, so hopefully some more will go by the end.

    Sue.

    Hi,

I have been lurking and reading up on all your de cluttering...well done! You have put me in the mood to start doing some, I have 5 bin bags full of clothes and shoes, does anyone know the name of the place that collects them from your house and gives you money for them by weight. I have heard of people using it but I cant find it online.

    I am in Scotland btw!

    Thanks in advance

Sold two books I got free so another £3 in the pot and a few more things gone - every little helps!

OH took two computers back to work too so that's a few more bits out our garage thank goodness also all the recycling from around the house into the recycling bins in the garage ready to go out next week and all the rubbish packaging went in the wheelie on Tuesday so feel like I've made a bit of progress, lots of post sorted, magazines gone through etc.

Got a pretty quiet weekend so weather permitting finish the garage painting we started in the spring, all the card in there and some WEE to the tip and then sort it all nicely before moving onto serious house cleaning!

    Hi there,

Not been here for a bit. Had some work done at home so everything has been turned upside down. Going to do some decluttering focus on specific rooms I think now. I sorted a load of bits for the local hospice shop. Once I've sorted it, it just has to go out of the house and into the back of the car. Otherwise I dont feel like I'm getting anywhere. Right - off to find 10 things in 10 minutes to go, go, go!
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Less things. Less stuff. More life.
