  • yesterday i filled 4, photo albums with photos, and binned a carrier bag full of fuzzy, back of head shots!! sorted 3 more boxes of photos and sentimental bits an bobs, in the process of filling another BB of tat and rubbish ;), sorted out my make-up bag an rid it of un-used an tatty bits. Did go shopping though aswell yesterday and bought 5 pot of face-cream from the body shop sale (in my defence reduced to £3:rolleyes:) also got 2 body butters reduced to £5,!!! could'nt leave them there normally £12 :D. And a pair of jeans £10 reduced from £25 but that is all, Definately not buying anything else :whistle:. So im havin a read thru all the posts an getting back to it, i'm enjoying this its quite liberating, an even got DH upstairs sorted his clothes and work clothes ;). Just gotta get these 2 DD's on board now !!:rotfl:

    tootsie.. when I buy something I use the bag I brought it home in as a rubbish bag .. put away my new thing.. fill up the bag and throw it out so there is at least as much leaving the house as there is coming in!! I then feel it is ok to have new things as I made space.

    i would like to join too. have just bought new towels but will probably never get rid of the old ones. why. my daughter did some voluntary work in a charity shop and it was so useful because she would take the clutter down there. she is not there now so i have to motivate myself to go and take the things.

    loads of paperwork to sort out. back to work tomorrow so who knows

    missy.. donate them to an animal rescue centre or the pdsa they are usually desperate for soft bedding for the sick animals!.. they are going to help someone else then so it isn't like binning them.

  • I have now decluttered, cleaned out and made lists of everything that was in my tin cupboard - 3or4 different threads sorted in one morning! Now I can sort out my meal plans, use up everything thats been in the cupboard since this time last year and its clean - woohoo!!

    Just finished decluttering my bedroom
    In: Zero
    Out: a huge bag of ornaments to go to the charity shop tomorrow
    plus a hoover bag full of dust:o couldn't believe how dusty it had got.Gave it a good turn out and even moved furniture ect,am completly cream crackered now so I have done my bit for today.
    Also mended a bedside light that hadn't worked for yonks.Feel quite pleased with myself:j:j

    Tidied bedroom and now have a fleece with broken zip and bag of odd socks waiting to go but bin is overflowing and not emptied til Tues so currently they are waiting in the hall!! Also out went some bits of card and paper into recycle bin.

    Think I'll go and bake some cakes now....
