My dd is 2. I must've tried 5 times this week to get rid off her really babyish toys for the charity bag- she always ffinds them and decides she LOVES them and I don't have the heart to take them away from her... 2010 the year of the ruthless mummy!0

Have thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread! I feel quite motivated now, so will join in too, if that's ok?
Nothing in today, but loads of boxes from Xmas pressies put in the recycling bin, which makes the pile of stuff to find homes for looks slightly less daunting!
Have 4 duvet covers and pillow cases, two ab crunchers exeercise thingies and two boxes of Xmas cards being picked up from fellow Freeglers tomorrow - it's a start! :jGOD BLESS DURAN DURAN

Managed to sort another kitchen cupboard.
Out (well into recycle bins) went 3 empty ketchup bottles and 3 empty glass herb jars and now my cupboard is all organised and actually fits everything in!
In came XBOX 360 (DS2 now spent his Christmas money!)
I decided to put my recycle bin outside the back door as it was a bit in the way in the kitchen but DS1 has twice today put recycling stuff into the ordinary bin so may have to think again with that one!Official DFW nerd - 282 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'

I actually think I will just get a black sack and a charity bag tomorrow and just throw everything that I don't need and put everything I need but don't use up in the loft. Will try and get up early and get on with it and then OH can put the loft stuff up when he put the xmas decs away0

I am defintely joining in this thread!
Today I am quite proud of myself. I have 2 pine display units that had some paperwork shoved on top by OH & DD, so OH got it all down and gave the top a good wipe/clean as very dusty. So they are completely free now of junk and alot of the stuff that was on top have either been put in the picture/memories box or thrown;)
Have also gone through a million cards I have been sent over the past 2 years and filed the ones I want to keep in the card box.
I must must must sort through the paperwork drawers in the lounge and the crap drawer in the kitchen.

Just read the rest of the thread, and realised I'd been more productive than i thought today! Recycled old Teco Direct, Very, Additions and Asda direct catalogues today. Also threw out dodgy looking/smelling stuff from the fridge.
Tomorrow is a big clean up before returning to work on Monday, so am going to hrow out a pile of magazines I get via work each week (and vow to throw them out every week even if I haven't read them, when I bring the new one home each week in future). I'm also goign to sort out CDs and list on play.com in the week.GOD BLESS DURAN DURAN

Seeing as it's a new year and I moved house in September just gone it's about time I got rid of all the clutter. I have no kids but have 3 dogs (1 large and 1 giant) and a cat and I have too much stuff and not enough room!
I just have no idea where to start. The second bedroom is full of all the things we brought with us that I haven't sorted through and it's a little daunting :eek:Wife and mother :jGrocery budget
