:hello:I just list things on Ebay I think will sell - I don't bother checking the unsold history, if somebody wants it - great! If not - at least I tried. It's really nothing personal if an item doesn't sell - it may just be the day of the week or the time that an auction ends that means less people are around when auctions finish - ie I time auctions to finish early evening on a Sunday, when the majority of people are likely to be in due to the working week about to start again, are bored on the internet and looking for things to buy!I relist things once and if they still don't sell I look at a different way of selling it or give it to charity.
Absolutely! I understand its not personal... and I admire that attitude of listing and seeing what happens; I guess when I started doing all of this, I felt I was too deeply in debt to be able to pay the ebay fees if things happened not to sell, so I never got into the habit of doing it, just selling books and CDs on amazon, and being happy with that.
I'm back from my long weekend in the Lake District now and have caught up with the thread, well done everyone! I will restart decluttering tomorrow with renewed vigour. I've even managed to not bring back a single souvenir from holiday which is a first!
That sounds great! Like the whole "leave only footprints, take only memories" thing2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well, it's day two for me.
came home and 2 charity big bags had been delivered! (Who told them?)
So 10 items of clothing straight in.. even before I engaged brain or took my shoes off!!
Plus.... one nearly full bottle of olive oil I dropped and smashed over kitchen floor! does that count? It resulted in using up 1 bottle of Ajax liquid, half a kitchen roll & 3 elastoplasts!!
I have also shredded/recycled junk mail, but don't count that.
Total:-
Day 2 22 Items

Its probably a self esteem issue but I never believe my stuff will sell on ebay - and I've just been looking at all the unsold radley dresses too - 7 at the moment, with no bids.
search for the completed items for radley dresses - lots have sold - and some at VERY good prices.
I never knew radley did dresses - radley to me = handbags......I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Thanks greent! I'll have a go - what came into my head, tho, was a quote from TS Eliot, "Do I dare disturb the universe?" - bonkers, I tell you, completely bonkers.
26. work journal, to recycling (they archive them on the website, bless them).
27. massive great countryside magazine from a freebie bag to recycling.
EDIT - just checked out the completed listings - 22 dresses, 7 of which didn't sell (two were relisted, I didn't count that, it was really old fashioned by today's standards. Oh, and one of that 7 didn't even bother to put a photo up!).2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
