My OH loves his books and I love craftstuff/gumph -I think we tolerate and respect each others likes and dislikes and we would both love a tidy house !!!!!!!!!:p
    Right that's it ! I'm taking a black bag to it all - I'm signing up too!:rotfl:

You can't chuck your craft stuff:eek: I like scrapbooking and card making I got some great storage boxes from somerfield at the beginnig of the year I did have to get 6 of them:o but all my craft stuff is in there and its easier to find what I am looking for.

    I'm done!!

Bedroom decluttered in all the important places - got the wardrobes to go but they're not urgent until after the building work is done

Airing cupboard emptied - it's a good space and I'm now thinking about using it as a built in wardrobe, it's 9 foot high, 4 foot wide and 3 foot deep.

Kitchen glory hole totally cleared out - :j there was just so much rubbish there! Managed to find the gas stopcock :T

Washed kitchen floor  and bathroom floor  won't bothering vaccuming as the workmen are bound to make a mess so it'll need doing again on Wednesday/Thursday.

Now the house is cluttered! Have got all the stuff that's being kept (bed linen, towels, etc) in a pile in the living room with 3 duvets being 'stored' on sofa number 2!

I feel I've achieved a lot, though I have made my operation site hurt again with all the lifting and carrying of stuff but that will wear off by tomorrow or Tuesday. At least I lasted the correct length of time for the job. Once the work is done I will start on the kitchen cupboards/drawers, the set of drawers in the hall and the office desk drawers. Already did the bedroom drawers (2 bedside with 3 drawers each and a 'proper' set of drawers with 6 drawers) so at least the clothes are sorted.

For all those still in the midst of it all I wish you energy to complete your decluttering.

    :T:T:j:j

Gers, thats brilliant! Well done you, tho I'm concerned your operation site is hurting - have you checked it, has it opened up?

    15. I've found a top in the storage bag I'm going through that I can send off to the charity shop.

EDIT - excavating the rest of the bag, I've also found:
    16. a short sleeved top I knitted when I was 15 - I could actually wear it now, its very stretchy, except it has holes in it, shame! :p
    17. an old T shirt that came down to my knees - I knotted it at the hip and wore it to a punk party :D but its definitely had its day.

Uh oh. There's also a broderie anglaise dress I wore when I was 12 ... my mum made it ... I can't quite bear to throw it out, I may have to keep it :(

Thanks - and no need to worry. I had my appendix out in late April (keyhole) and, although it took some time, am well healed, however whenever I lift/carry heavy things it begins to ache again. Serves me right! And now that the heavy stuff is gone I won't have to do it again. And it's another reason why I haven't bothered to vaccum the carpets too.

Have to say that walking around the flat is increasingly a pleasure, I get a feeling of lightness and space which is lovely.

So, to all those struggling to get rid of stuff, it's worth it in the end. Keep going, I've been doing this for about 2 years but this is the only time I've made the big push and if feels great! :j

Out: Took about 10 used envelopes to work to use for internal mail, about 8 batteries put in recycling box at work, 2 bags of clothing, and cassette storage case and cassettes taken to charity shop yesterday, paper, cans, glass and plastics all taken to recycling centre.

Pending: Sold another item on Ebay, just awaiting payment and will then post it.

I think I will also join the 100 things in 10 days, with all that I have to clear it should be a doddle, lol!

    Hugs
    Sue.

2 pillow protectors (pending Freegle collection)

Not much but we had a busy weekend. Just trying to keep the momentum going.

out this cloudy monday morning - 8 boxes/bags recycling.

started Monday with a clean kitchen sink - I had washed up having fed myself and 2 dds....then DS and OH came home and my kitchen looked so untidy. I made OH do their washing up - but he didn't finish it - why does he think it is acceptable to leave a load of stuff 'in soak'?

Off to crack on with the ironing.....
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
