Can i join in this thread too please? I have so much to do and don't know where to begin, I like the idea of getting rid of 100 things, it would be nice to be a bit more organised. Have been reading your tips for the last couple of days and feel like am ready to begin.

Ok, I've been painting the last few days but I'm on the decluttering starting block this morning!

100 items by the 21st july:

    1. Empty bottles/jars/boxes from kitchen (recycling)
    2. Empty bottles from bathroom (recycling)
    3. Free newspapers delivered yesterday and already read (recycling)
    4. Catalogues delivered over the last few weeks (recycling)
    5. Cardboard box (now a cat bed instead of buying her a new one!)
    6. Part of the dashboard from my old car! (bin)
    7. Bits and pieces plus manuals from old bikes and duplicate tools that come with new bikes (bin)

That's it for now but I'm off to sort through towels and bedding - it will be strictly two items of each per person by the time I've finished!

ETA: I'm back and can now add (all for charity shop - mostly for rags, not for sale!):

    8. 9 old hand towels
    9. 3 old bath towels
    10. 2 canvas bag things for storing clothes but not used
    11. Pair of well loved but now falling apart shoes
    12. Pair of hardly worn trainers as too tight
    13. 4 sheets
    14. 7 pillow cases
    15. 3 throws/blankets
    16. Old duvet - I've kept just one as a spare
    17. One pair of curtains
    18. 6 pairs of tights now too small for dd
    19. Blouse and tee-shirt I don't ever wear + swimming costume

    20. Bath sponge come scratchy thing (bin)
    21. Some very 'holy' pants!! (bin)

    PENDING FOR EBAY:

    22. Black Jacket I don't like
    23. New and tagged trousers that don't fit
    24. New and tagged tee-shirt that doesn't fit
    25. Two pairs of almost new jeans that don't look right on me

Not bad for an hours work! :D :j :T I'm going to the charity shop later so will take them straight there.

Well done peeps - keep chipping away! :j

    Hello :j

Not sure about setting any challenge for myself but my goodness i need to declutter!!
Have really really let it slip recently.I hate 'hot-spots',my worst one is the dinning room table everything just gets piled up there
First off i'll have to fight my way into the cupboard under the stairs and get that sorted so i can once again have storage space...not looking forward to that i can tell you!!

    So....
    1-Declutter and clean understairs cupboard.
2-Sort through and recycle magazines/letters etc
3-Organise bookshelf.I spy lots of paper poked into spaces for a home!!
4-Go through wardrobes and make a much needed trip to charity shop.
5-Sort through bathroom bottles etc use up/recycle
6-Look through kitchen cupboards and use up anything approaching its shelf-life.

Will post when i've made head way!! Eeeekkkk.....
