    In..

    Masses of baby stuff!

    Out

Binbags of rubbish.. at least 5 wheelie bins full to popping!
    3 binbags to charity shop
1 binbag and a tin of paint to DS1

Pending.. when I decide how to get rid!

10ft diameter pool.. with ladder, filter and relevant tubing.. hogging space in my shed!

Listed mountains of stuff to sell on various websites.. not much gone yet but my list is growing and growing!

I am in the middle of mucking out my my room in order to make space for the cot and other baby stuff.. but it is such a chose and I am finding it very hard going.

So far we have decluttered and decorated..

    Kitchen
Boys room.. though I need a few empty boxes before I can attempt to declutter from their masses of toys!
DD1's room .. everything flund but she needs a new bed really and a new desk.. though she thinks she wants a laptop instead.. cheeky toad!

We seem to be getting rid of loads and the amount is just not changing!

I am in the throes of the most massive de-clutter I have ever had to do. I am calling the estate agent in two days and truly the house is spotless, except I want to steam the shower trays. Our daughters have been given as much as they can take, oxfam has had ALL my rubber stamping equipment and I mean LOTS of excellent quality stuff. Hardly used baby things like high chair and excellent camp cot have gone to the local community shop and on and on. Pilates bench, dozens of good books, bedding and even my dehydrator

I just hope my energy levels remain good. I have been RUTHLESS as we are going to a much smaller house. OMG I don`t think some of my `once in a lifetime` oiled oak furniture will fit in. We are doing detailed measurements tomorrow and my dh will draw everything out for me. The house we are going to is a `one off`` very very special new build, very unusual and I`ll tell more when contracts have exchanged

We have a massive brilliant lot of storage here and we are going to bare minimal. Only the two of us but `living the dream` will be a reality. It is now or never

My de-cluttering this week has been mainly following through on my Marathon declutter last weekend & trying not to bring clutter into the house. Update for the week:

    IN
    New Atlas for DS
Towelling "after swim bath" robe DS - maybe he won't always be last one in the class dressed now.
    OUT
    Charity shop bag
Bag full of garden rubbish to bin
Batteries to Boots for recycling (thanks Mineallmine - I wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for you)
£13 worth of coppers to Coin Star Machine
    Birthday gift to cousin's daughter

Unlikely to have much to add today as we're out exploring an area that we're thinking about moving to - nothing decided yet just weighing up options. Kittie - your move sounds really exciting.
Think I am getting sorted here, lots of the things I have now are things that mean something to me or I use. QUOTE]

Camelot1001 - Your post made me think of the famous William Morris quotation -

If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

I think it's lovely - I've been trying to use it as guide whilst decluttering - not quite there yet...

    Enjoy the weekend all...x

I haven't been at home this weekend (cat sitting at my sisters), so I suppose officially my out is...me! I have brought along a cookery book and my recipe magazines to sort through and bin (not the book!) I've done most of the magazines, so won't be taking those home with me.

Apart from that there will be some ins and outs tonight/tomorrow. I've had a very successful day shopping for once and have bought 2 pairs of jeans and 4 tops, so I will be swapping them with some older stuff, especially the jeans as they're all too big and either taking them to a charity shop/recycling banks. I also bought a plastic clip box to use for my food waste as trying to make an effort with the rubbish/recycling. Oh, got an extendable window cleaner thingy too, but for cleaning the tiles in my bathroom. I have the highest ceilings i've ever seen and the walls are tiled floor to ceiling, so even standing on the edge of the bath, I can't reach to the very top!!

    In

    Food
    Suncream

    Out

Large bag of clothes taken to charity shop yesterday
    Jacket returned to owner

Too tired to do any decluttering today as I have mowed the front and back lawn and went for an hour long walk earlier.

Also hosted the first barbecue of the season (as soon as the sun comes out, OH wants to cook over fire!), so still need to wash up from that, plus fetch in and fold the washing and get on with completing a job application form. That'll do for me today, definitely an early night!
