The Great Declutter Part 2

MsHalffull - I love that quote and I think that's where I want to be. Not too far to go now.
Not much out apart from the branches of a tree that I cut last autumn. I have cut them all up and burned the lot. It was a bit hot what with the weather and the heat from the fire! The garden is looking a lot better without them.
Have the house on the market and had first viewers yesterday so am pretty exhausted with all that cleaning and tidying. At least the de-cluttering has had a meaning.
Will think about the big shed soon - has all late husband's tools in - may have to enlist DS1s help.
Good luck all!0 -
IN
nothing!!!
OUT
more dandelions & other weeds dug up, few more bits rubbish randomly found in flower/veg/fruit bed
PENDING
few more strawberry plants potted up, hopefully they'll all survive lol. put some back in the bed today as was main strawb area I was weeding but though would give them a bit space not crowd.
DONE
erm apart from the gardening not a lot lol. 1x washing but no washing up (loads to do just my time when was gonna do while cooking tea I ended up messaging someone who'd asked for advice on FB... & cba once kids in bed will do first thing in morning)
some fun stuff like 3rd garden picnic in 3 days.... need to buy charcoal before can do BBQ lol maybe when my brother's up next weekend! plus DD noticed the "Easter" snazaroo face paints bought cheap in Tesco the other day so we did some face/arm painting (I did mock tattoos of kids names on my arm, so she asked for "me" on one arm & "my arm" on the other pmsl!!!)0 -
For Saturday and Sunday
In- Post (sorted & recycled)
- Take-away menus (recycled)
- Kleeneeze catalogue (quick look through ~ nothing I want)
- DS2’s shorts ~ he bent over and they split :rotfl: (bin)
- Few sheets of old paper (recycled)
- Long plastic stick (thrown over the fence by the kids next door ) (bin)
- I put the 12p they threw over in my money box!
- Frozen potatoes from previous dinners (for our dinner)
- Washing up
Made a lovely roast chicken dinner and only had 5 small potatoes for making roasties, so used the frozen boiled and roast potatoes from the freezer and no-one could tell the difference! I also makde jelly and custard, sadly the custard was too hot and melted the jelly, but everyone still ate it up!
Back to work tomorrow, so I should be getting an early night after my shower and making lunch! I’ve had 2 weeks off work yet I haven’t made as much progress as I wanted to.

Not been on here for ages. I've made massive progress today.
In: New mattress for DS's bed. 2 sets of roller blades for the kids.
Out: Old mattress. 5 rubble sacks of rubble from our bedroom wall. 1 bag of non recyclables. Recycling bin full of cardboard. Carrier bag of metal cans. Huge binliner of clothes for charity.
Tons more to be getting on with so will hope to get more done as I'm not in work again until Saturday 24th.
Want to get garden rubbish cleared up and also get the rest of our bedroom wall(s) ripped down (if I get time). Then DH would be able to get on and rebuild the walls.
Rightyho, off to get some more stuff done before we have tea!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Went into the attic today to try to sort some boxes out, but ended up just looking at things, putting them back, shifting them around a bit, and then coming back down! There’s quite a lot that we could take to a car boot, but DH is a bit reluctant and says I have a selective memory when it comes to car boots ~ I always think they’re a good idea but come home deflated that we didn’t sell much or make much money.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Don 't know if you know but some /many charity shop will take scraps of material (think someone had a post about this earlier). They sell the stuff to the ragman. Poor DS2, I hope he laughed!
Yes, DS2 thought it was really funny, he said he had to go and show his Dad! I was only telling him the day before that they were getting too old and holey, but he said they were really comfy ~ aged 4-5 and he's 8!!:rotfl:Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £82,340.34 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £130 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £141.14 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £964.62 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0
