The Great Declutter Part 2

Hi all, I've been MIA again, so thought I'd better pop in.
Well, the past couple of days have been really quite productive for me because I always feel more motivated when the sun shines!
Sunday: Finally got the back yard sorted out (started the other week and then dropped a huge planter on my foot...) - anyway, moved all the pots around very carefully, swept everywhere, re-potted an apple tree that DD1 grew last year, re-potted a bean plant that DD1 grew at school, planted some herbs. Also, tidied up pots and binned loads of rubbish. Last of all I trimmed the outside herb garden.
Monday: Mowed lawn in front garden, raked out all the dead stuff from the grass and weeded the flower beds. Bin is now full (we don't have a brown bin from the council and my compost bin is full).
Today: Have given the girls room a good tidy up. Was given a load of clothes for DD1 so have sorted through them for what I want to keep and what can go. Now have one large bag of clothes ready for Clothing Collection at school on Friday.
IN: post
OUT: bag of rubbish
DONE: 2x loads of washing (girls bedding and dark colours)
Hope everybody else is having a good day.Thrifty Gifty February make £20 challenge £21.05/£20.0 -
Hi, my name is Sue and I’m new to this forum. Over the years my home has got more and more cluttered, and every time I try to sort it I end up keeping most things in case I might need them, or because I’m sentimental about them. Now I am determined to get de-cluttered, and reading posts on this forum has helped to motivate me to get started.
So far I have sorted out 2 of the top boxes in my wardrobe unit, as they were jam packed with junk, (which I have now thrown out) as well as important paperwork, which I have now filed properly in ring binders. I’ve also shredded a lot of old bills, receipts, junk mail etc., (had 3 bags of shredded paper to go to recycling, plus another bag of non shredded papers), and got rid of instruction booklets etc. for items I no longer own.
Then I sorted out a drawer in my lounge unit, which has been overflowing for years, and actually got rid of most of it’s contents by binning the rubbish, putting some items for charity shop, and taking other stuff to where it should be, also had a lot more paperwork to go for recycling.
Tomorrow I intend to tackle the cupboard in my bedroom, which is jammed full of clutter, and I am determined to get rid of a lot of it this time, and not just throw it all back in like I usually do, lol, I’ll let you know how I get on!
Hugs

Morning all,
Am going to try and find 50 things to declutter today. A really high target but hey if I get rid of "only" 10 things, then that's 10 things gone.
Happy decluttering everyone :TDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

2. pretty sweet tin (charity)
3. t shirt (charity)
4. novel (charity)
