Hi All - Ive got a busy weekend ahead so must dash through my jobs for today but actually the busier I am the better I manage - less time for flaffing about and thinking "do I need this - maybe I could salvage the ribbon from it "(for e.g.) and add it to my stash (like I dont have any ribbon!!). When I am in White Tornedo mode things just get binned,RC'd, CS bagged or put away instead of moved from pillar to post and back again!
    So off I go to:
dog walk, water greenhouse plants, hens out and fed, to bank and shops (returning expensive jeans OH didnt want), get petrol, sign papers and post off, out to lunch with "ladies group", to craft shop (commisioned to make a fascinator for a wedding outfit), home, 2nd dog walk, make dinner and organise tomorrows campervan test drive outing! Phew!
    XX MM
    Stay clutter-free
No new stuff unless to replace broken items that are essential.
£2 savings pot (started Oct 09) £182 so far (£100 of which is banked)
Roadkill jar (found money) 87p and 20 eurocents

My problem is that I find things I d Son't want.need anymore, put them to one side to either ebay or carboot, but then they stay there for weeks/months/even years!! :o QUOTE]

I have this same problem Purplevamp - My loft is full of stuff to sell at Bootsales but I'm reliant on other people because I don't drive. I've got a friend who likes to do them too but she's having major work done in her house at the moment so can't spare the time. A lot of the big stuff isn't even mine or I think I would have cracked by now & given it all to a CS.

Well done to your DD btw - what a fantastic win.

Ok, so maybe yesterday didn't go quite as planned on the de-cluttering front...
I ventured into the garage and found some bits for the table top/car boot, but it all looked a bit samey sooo
    - I dug out a little gold bracelet that was broken beyond repair that Mum had given me to trade in, got £20 for it (it was v dainty, so I was pleased with that) and spent £12 in Home bargains buying bits to add to the table top stash. Bits were v v cheap, eg Hallmark gift bags for 12p and I figured that even if I sell them for 30p, it's a profit, yes??
Ok, not exactly de-cluttering, more re-cluttering/speculating to accumulate
I did however offload some magazines onto the surgery where I work and a fleece jacket onto the charity shop, so not all bad :)

Good luck to everyone for today's de-cluttering :)

So far today, 2 black sacks general waste.
Pending: Finish ripping down the bedroom walls. Get the rubble sacks to the tip. DH will load them into the car for me when he comes home at lunch time. Better get shifting so I've got a car full hadn't I!

    Morning all,

Well done on all the decluttering. Loads of stuff sorted!

Have no plans for a declutter today. It's a lovely day outside today so if any decluttering it will be garden rubbish (where the hell does this all come from???) and finding lost treasures (buried solar lights etc).

Who's up for working to a target of decluttering x number of items over the weekend?

Hi, over here! I need to sort out for a bar boot next month- yep, same as car boot but in a pub from 1-5 pm so much more civilised - ebay, Amazon and charity shop...
oh, and I need to remember that putting it on a shelf designated for ebay doesn't get it on the site and selling....:rotfl:
and declutter the dust from the workmen... :rotfl:

OK, I've got 3 more rubble sacks filled up and in the hallway ready for DH to put in the car for me later.
I've nearly finished ripping down the first wall, just stopping for coffee and to let the dust settle. May get on and start the next wall in a bit, difficulty is that it's got the radiator on it and it needs to be removed but don't think DH will have time to drain the system at lunch time. I'll just see how far I manage to get on with it.
Really dry skin so will declutter some face cream onto it in a tick!

I'm very late joining this thread but only just discovered it. I've read the first 12 pages but decided to skip to the last one and join otherwise it will be another before i get to the end!

I have abig push for decluttering in that we get a new kitchen in 4 weeks!! YAY.
So i have to clear everything out of the kitchen and will sort it as we go. I know i have lids for pans that have been thrown out, too many tupperware boxes and at least 3 fondue sets i've never used.

Hopefully if the weather is nice we are doing a carboot next Sunday as have about £300-400 worth of stuff to sell and it will clear space for us to store the new kitchen.

I did start some decluttering at the weekend and cleared out my sock drawer and the drawer in our bed (divan) and i do feel a bit more organised.

1 rubble sacks worth of lath (wooden strips from the walls) put onto fire and burned. It's a little bit warm now in here!
I've had to stop now cause I've cut my hand quite deeply and it won't stop oozing. It's gross!
