Have spent a happy morning decluttering the garden. I'm pleased to report that I've finally pretty much got rid of the rubbish (mainly old shelves & cupboard doors) that was at the end of the garden. All that remains is some wood that is awaiting a bonfire, parts of a smashed up old tile & concrete fireplace (think I might just let things grow over it) - still thinking about how to get rid of a broken old go cart & a bag of concrete that got damp & is now completely solid. - I don't drive so difficult to take anything to the dump.

Have tired myself out a bit & since I've been ill & it's work tomorrow, think its a good idea to rest now (still glowing from the therapeutic effects of taking a mallet to various broken wooden items).

    So, for the weekend -

    IN
    Card holder - CS
Lovely Art Book - 50p from library sale
    OUT
A wheely bin full of rubbish from end of garden
A wheely bin full of compostable garden waste
Wood & old metal piping to neighbour
    Ring returned to Ebay seller
    Birthday Card to Aunt
Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

Well, got home on Friday to find most of DS1s girlfriends stuff moved out of my house into her new flat - that counts as hundreds of things out!

The cats remain!! Hopefully they will be going soon. Hoped they would be gone as estate agent coming tomorrow to take photos. Will have to put them to play in the garage for a while!

Have been busy cleaning and tidying but have managed to get a bag ready for CS.

    Good luck everyone!

I haven't been decluttering every day recently, but when I came home from Church today, DH was decluttering the garage!
He had brought some items back into the house so there was nothing for it but set him straight about why they were in the garage in the first place(half way house for "stuff")
At the end of it all, he had the car filled to brim and took the lot to the dump, now we both feel great! He has also dismantled the slide (DS now 15yo) and the rusty bbq, so off they go to the dump tomorrow.
    I'm well pleased:j

    Quick update for Sunday:

    IN:
2 books for DD from Tesco in BOGOF deal
box of chocs & set of candles & money - belated bday pressies for me from family
big bag of clothes for DS3 from cousin

    OUT:
    77. Planted basket, card & gift voucher to my Nan (80th birthday celebrations)
    78. 1/2 the clothes from cousin to charity and recycling

28 items on ebay (hundreds of actual items now, as LOTS of job lots/ clearance stuff listed) 6 have bids & another 8 have watchers. I've just listed a big load of stock on as a job lot because I couldn't be bothered to split it and list it, so I'm really hoping it goes. IT's a bargain at about 1/3rd of trade cost price for start price and could sell for about 10x or more the start price. PLus it'll be 2 big boxes gone out of my garage :D
