youve made me really determined to clear my cluttered table now with all your talk of properly laid tables.
i too love candles i used to save them unburned as ornaments but realised ive got so many and they keep increasing so now i burn them and enjoy them instead of leaving them to get chipped and dusty.
have a lovely meal both and a great weekend all:)SPC~12 ot 124

Ah, see I always used to collect candles and not burn them but they are huge dust magnets so now I burn them. I only get cheapy ones but I love scented ones. I light them while I'm doing my housework and they throw off a cheerful glow.
mrs-moneypenny, go for it with your table. I just love shiny things so I find it soothing seeing it all nice and shiny!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Morning all,
Not been around for a bit (poor health, yawn). Not very mobile. So will do decluttering that's not too hard at the moment so:
- sort out 20 things (clothes/bedding/shoes) for the charity bag for Tuesday (mmm maybe any coats too)
- sort out 10 things for freecycle/freegle to put on next week
- sort out my desk
So that will be 30 things. Gonna try and do that in 3 days. So declutter 30 things in 3 days. Starting now...
Goal of 20 things for charity bag:
1. jumper
Goal of 10 things for freecycle/freegle:1. garden stuffDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Kaz and Mrs Moneypenny - very nice to know that I am not the only one who gets pleasure form a nicely set table. I reallt set to with the candelabra yesterday and put in new candles (I always buy ones with plaited wicks - they burn much better - its all to do with the wick curling as it burns due to the plaiting - we used to keep bees and made hand-dipped candles from the wax - now thats what I call MS! Sadly both went allergic [anaphylactic ghastly!!] but have retained the knowledge!) and all looks lovely for supper tonight. Was going to use the kitchen ss cutlery due to dishwasherability but instead have used all the silver - and two glasses at each place and a crystal jug for water and using my flat french glass bowls for the dessert (HM meringues from our own hens) and fresh fruit salad. Wish you could all come for supper!
So my decluttering has been quite cerebral today -
out : negative thoughts that its insignificant to get pleasure from fussing about with which spoons to use (plumped for the 1930's silver fruit special ones that were my Mums)
in: smoked trout and blinis for a yummy starter (but asked OH to collect these from Mr S on his way home and to also pick up some nibbles to have with the drinks ... what did he get? Mini cheddars!! Oh My - how sophisticated (and in the 36 years we have been together has he EVER seen me eat a mini cheddar....)
Have a great weekend all. I will declutter lots and lots of actual thimgs tomz, promise!
