Not done much this week, still moaning about having these two cats - now into the 3rd week! Still should be gone next weekend, that will be a major declutter and you will all hear me cheer!!

Tidied a couple of kitchen cupboards today and have a bag for the CS, could probably re-cycle more but slowly does it!

    Have a good week everyone.

Had a huge declutter today and it felt great! I know Mothers day is supposed to be a pampering day for us Mums but I felt pampered by getting rid of loads of parp!
Out: Greenhouse glass and 1/2 the frame (rest to be done next weekend or this week).
3 buckets full of rubble from back garden.
2 overflowing carriers of plastic, 2 of cardboard, 1 tetrapacks, 3 glass, 2 metal, 1 charity, all recycled.
    Couple of carriers non-recyclable.
1 pink suitcase has had it so gone!
Old wrecked compost bin (compost now properly spread and dug into garden rather than dumped on top of veggie patch).
3 doors, replaced by new ones over course of last 18 months but never got rid of.
1 rhino tub, was full of earth and split so it's empty and gorn!

Pending: all washing done (if DH has dried the last load which I put on when I left for work tonight).
Now needs ironing and putting away over next couple of days- (I have a film to watch so will probably do it in front of that Monday afternoon!).
More buckets full of rubble to go to tip.
Old dressing gown of mine to rag bag.

In: Few grow bags, plenty of seeds etc etc. Now all potted up (and some sprouting) over last week by DH. Big clothes shop for all of us (well it felt big for me, over £200 spent on clothes in 3 weeks- gasp)

My aim is to get my kitchen finished off as soon as I can (tiling) so we can get started on our bedroom. I know I need to go through DS's clothes again. I also need to attack DD's clothes (and mine if I'm honest). DH has got to get his sorted too- so many and so scruffy!
I dearly hope I can keep up the momentum to get this finished and our bedroom lovely by the end of the year. At this rate, our mortgage will be paid off before our house is finished. I reckon if Kim and Aggie came round they would die if they saw my bedroom :(

    Hi Everyone.

Well so much for a flying start last Monday!! I have not thrown anything other than newpapers, junk mail and general rubbish since then!!! Just don't know where the week went!
So I think I will start again today by attacking the main bathroom cupboards! Watch this space - I will be back!

I tackled the Cupboard Under the Stairs yesterday and did three more Sideboard drawers. Got rid of 2 binbags of recycling, (going to have to stop as the recycling bin is almost full and they dont come again until Friday) all of Dans and Old Horses rubbish :j and 5 more things for th'ebay. Tried to chuck DansDads guitar mags but although he wont look at them again he got very petulant when I mentioned it last night, so they are at the back of the cupboard until the next round of emptying. I have room now for freezer no 2!! :D

Next will be the Spare Room (also known as the Bermuda Triangle) I think Jaws may live there as I'm sure I hear the music when I open the door......

I know what you mean about men and magazines - I've managed to get rid of the Classic Rock and Powerslam ones and he has voluntarily put the model aircraft ones in the garage - I'll recycle them at an appropriate opportunity. Now I only have to evict the astronomy and cricket ones.....;)

  • More in than out yesterday!

    IN:
    Four Mothering Sunday Cards
    2 lots of chocs
4 vouchers to be exchanged for chickens :j:j:j:j

    OUT:
Toiletries used up in my pampering bath - binned
Breakfast in bed - Scotch Pancakes made by DS3 (and I didn't know he could cook)- into my tummy!

Back to the grindstone this morning though.
