...I've got a book detailing how to properly archive "stuff" - anything from paper to toys to wedding dresses to everything else in between. If any of you would like some help in properly storing those undeclutterable things then just PM me (or post here) and I'll see what me book says!
Claire, I've got a suggestion for those who have the time & technology: I've got a box of cards / tickets / leaflets etc from almost 7 years of me & DF, another of my mum & dad's sympathy cards & papers plus a plastic storage crate of stuff from when my kids were small (school photos, reports etc)....I was planning to scrapbook what I could until DF suggested making them into an electronic "scrapbook" by scanning them and storing the images in folders in date order, with a Word document detailing where / who / when / why etc.
Methinks I may come to regret that conversation, but at least it will keep me busy when he's away with work!
I've also GOT to sort my wardrobe out properly, declutter my collection of boots, and make proper storage for my collection of costume jewellery, before starting to rationalise my habit of stuffing things under the spare bed!!0 -

What an inspiring thread. I flirted with the idea of tidying up last year but as we have now been in this house for 16 months and STILL haven't unpacked everything, its time to get serious.
