I got the bottles taken to the bottle bank so thats a bin bag emptied, then I sorted my kitchen cupboards out and also the toiletries box- threw a couple of leaking items away and now know that have deodorant to last about 10 years, toothpaste for the year but only have one bar of soap - feel more organised though.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

UPDATE

55 books (bagged for charity). :j
Now to put the wheelie bin of household rubbish out for collection.Put the kettle on.0 -
Right today
In: 5 X items from Poundland. A carrier bag of Food. How to crochet magazine with hook and wool. One new DS game. 2 X boxes of Christmas cards. A diary as no one bought me one for christmas2 X hair clips.
Out: Umm let me think, 2 X DS games traded in for the above new one. 2 X boxes of christmas cards in the sale for my mum. 1 x tap spray thing for washing your hair. Found on the top shelf of the larder. The 5 sweetie tins made it in to the recycling box :j. 2 X pieces of salmon from the freezer and a packet of sausages both now in my mums freezer :rotfl:
Also a carrier bag of rubbish to go in the bin. I sorted out one of the cupboards in the kitchen. Loads of lids but no containers to fit them. Everything else washed up and back in the cupboard.
Stuff for the charity shop is leaving tomorrow as husband is back on shift there.
And also sorted and tided the boot locker as I call it. My wardrobe has another smaller cupboard above. Got my space saving bags out and shrunk that stuff down. Better not say there is 5 t-shirts each for me and husband that have not been worn All bought in the sales and just waiting for the other items to wear out. 4 pairs of trousers that I can't fit in too but I am determined to lose the weight this year.
Right tomorrow is another day. And we start tidying a new cupboard in the kitchen :j Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.
Onwards and upwards.

Hi to everyone joining in the decluttering for 2010!
I've been attempting to declutter the spare room since April, it looks slightly better, but still some way to go!
2010 will be the year that the spare room becomes a nice room for people to stay in and not the junk storage hub! We don't have a loft, so I will just have to be more ruthless in the new year. Plus I have mentioned Ebaying several times over the last few months, but have not listed anything so far - I would really like a holiday, so all money made from Ebaying will go into the holiday fund and to repainting the living room.
In
Two plastic storage boxes - I decided to put one of the boxes in the bottom of my wardrobe to hold bags and scarves, but now don't have enough room for the shoes that were in there, so will need to rethink that... other box will go under the bed after I have moved the stuff that is already under the bed!
Salad and bread for New Years Day party - have invited a bunch of people over to eat all of the leftover fattening xmas food, so I can return to my (reasonably) healthy eating plan as of next week. Anything not eaten will be foisted upon people trying to leave, anything left after that will be taken into work!
Out
Old nail varnish, no longer like the colour and is several years old!
Pair of holey slippers.
I'm very pleased as council is now accepting thick cardboard, juice cartons and yoghurt pots in the recycling bins, so three cardboard boxes stamped on and put in green bin!
Pending Out
Three VHS videos and a bag of clothes to be taken to charity shop.
Next item(s) on decluttering agenda
Go through christmas decorations when packing tree away and get rid of some.
Go through OH's toiletries - I'm pretty sure he doesn't need three cans of shaving foam and I suspect some of the bottles/cans of stuff are incredibly ancient...0 -
Hello.....I am in with this
Week before Christmas we decluttered 21 boxes & bags into the garage, this includes 8 to be sorted through for possible pass downs, 7 definate pass downs of clothes/toys & the rest recycling/rubbish. Unfortunately tip been closed & our binmen haven't turned up last week....unsure if they will tomorrow.
Decluttering first list for me
Bras, I have a bag of broken ones I need to fix or fling, mine are £20+ so fixing will be good, just need to find more 'large' wires
Toys ... more need to go
Clothes .... more need to go from kids room
Decorations down & ditch the broken ones/unused from Chrimbo bag (good thinking Callisto)
Declutter Chrimbo chocolates
Look through the 2 crates on top of FF, see what is in there, some food stuffs I thinkOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Go through OH's toiletries - I'm pretty sure he doesn't need three cans of shaving foamI gave my husband two cans of shaving foam/gel for christmas and he already has another 4/5 that I know of.
:rotfl:
I think I need to put myself on a no more toiletries regime as well. I have two storage boxes jammed packed full of shower gels, face creams, perfume etc etc etc.(stuff for both me and my husband)
Will not go shopping in boots apart from the 75% off sale for pressies. How is that. :rotfl:

2 storage boxes, you'd just about get my radox supplies in one, 8 + bottles I've found so far....maybe squeeze the other bath foams in too.......I have **as standard storage in my tiny bathroom** 2 large storage baskets, 2 racks of 4 storage baskets & a box. There is more somewhere too. I've not actually bought anything but deoderant in 2 years, so I am improvingOne day I might be more organised...........

And I thought I was bad. My husband when we first married and in our own flat. Would just look at me strangely at why we had 25 tins of tuna and 20 tins of beans and all the extra shower gel, shaving foam, body buffs etc.
But don't hear him complaining about not having to put his hand his pocket when he needs new razor blades.
