I have just had a mad 5 mins - my OH has dumped me for a night out with the boys apparently didn't realise the date when it was arranged - MEN ! ! ! so have just put my little man in the bath and thought i'd sort out the bathroom cabinets and clean them while he played and then thought because they looked clean and tidy the walls looked bad so have ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm stripped them !!!!!!!
OH ain't going to be pleased but have nagged for over a year for him to do them and in any case my reply will be
" you wanted me to strip for you on valentine's night - Well I did ! Now you'll never dump me for the boys on feb 14 again will you ?"

Got rid of my chest of drawers today, they're falling apart and one more loose drawer front made me snap so they've gone to the tip, sorry 'recycling centre'.
I have a new set on order, but they're not due until the end of March so i'll have to manage until then with stuff in bags/boxes. I want them now
Also took a bag of old knackered clothes and a few old towels which went in their fabric bin. Apart from that, my rubbish has gone out and i've had a good clean everywhere.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Well it's been a productive day....
Out - Lounge- Bits and Bobs from the display cabinet - CS
- CD's and DVD's the kids no longer listen to/watch
- Been through the bookshelf and I have been very ruthless
- Crockery/cutlery bits and bobs - to OH's nephew who has just got his first flat.
- A kitchen slicer and Electric mixer - CS
- Cleaned out from under the kitchen sink - OMG what paraphenalia was under there... For someone who really only uses Stardrops, washing up liquid and bleach, I'm not really sure where it all came from. So I've boxed it up and will give it to a friend of mine who has her own cleaning business.
- Finally been through his wardrobe and bagged all his baby clothes - there were so many. How many clothes does a 2 year old need?
- Thinned out his cuddly toy collection - CS
- Started going through his drawers and have found presents he was given for christmas which haven't been taken out of the packaging
I do think they get bought too much...
- Some Wii games to put on Ebay

I've had a sort out in my wardrobe today, getting rid of anything that doesn't fit or that I just don't like anymore.
As a result there is a bag ready to go to the charity shop, another bag to go to the rag bin, and a few bits in the rubbish bin.
Also did the sock pile - and got rid of a lot of of odd socks with no partners.......I will have another cull once I am convinced I am at the bottom of the laundry mountains, just in case there are any other odd ones lurking.
Also consolidated some jars of herbs from the kitchen cupboard - why have 3 part jars of cumin seeds.........?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Can anyone tell me why I can't see the avatars people talk about. I'm not blind but may be stupid.
Well I've been taking baby steps today cos my back has been trying to seize up and I've been moving very gently. Treating it gently has worked as it is much looser than it was this morning and yesterday.
I started by clearing out my sock drawer whilst getting dressed. Some socks have been kept to be 'one use' cleaning cloths and have been put in a carrier bag next to the cleaning materials. The rest of the flimsy ones went in the bin and I filled the bedroom bin with old socks and undies I would never wear again. That is now in wheelie.
Then I piled my libraries that I have read next to the front door. Also put ready to go to work a book borrowed from a friend at work.
Next was pile of mags to recycling bin.
I finished emptying 2 metal files the ones the size of a small case with suspension files in them. DD1 will have the files to sort her paper work. I recycled what I could and added a lot more to my growing shredding pile.
The paper work that's left has gone into 2 lever arch files and 1 small folder. - I will find it easier to manage like this.
I went through my 'in tray' and am left with the 6 things that I am working on. Quite happy to have them there, tray was overflowing before I started and I was avoiding it cos I had let it get out of hand.
OH moved the bedroom furniture that I wanted moving. This unearthed loads more flattened cardboard boxes from the last years purchases, which has joined the recycling pile. Also a jigsaw on a board that OH wanted to keep! I have put the pieces in a bag (the box went out years ago) and hope he forgets about them so I can declutter them.
Hoping to be flexible enough to start decorating our bedroom soon but meantime have used the sitting down time to make great inroads in our paper work.
Thinking of a trip to the tip on Tuesday if I can manage it. Will report back later.
Thank you
