I think we got a genuine clothing collection bag the other day, so I'll be looking for some "rags" to put in it. In particular, I have a coat which is now more rag than coat, but it's my favourite one (and it is useful for garden jobs, but I have another raggy coat which is in better condition which I could also use for gardening) I bought a new coat recently - so why am I finding it so hard to throw away the old coat it was bought to replace? :rotfl:
Also going to do some ruthless sock pairing to day - will rag-bag the ones that haven't seen their partners for months, no matter how little they've been worn. (and I swear a lot were only worn once before getting lost )

If the day stays dry, I might also spend 15-30 mins giving the garden a bit of a tidy, and do a little bit of weeding.

:TWell done Kaz2904 on helping DH get rid of lots of clothes, more space for you and stuff to help others,

:TAnd well done inaminute for sorting the dining room - my dining set is in the shed - you see I keep telling people its bad! I have dining table envy!:p

:jHi peedie, look forward to hearing about your progress. Sometimes it can feel over whelming. But what is gonna make things better for us, worrying or doing - so lets do! Grateful for the encouragement back as today I'm weary!

:AHi completelylost - how you getting on with finding 5 things to chuck?

Hi to everyone else, hope you're all tackling clutter one bit at a time. Lots of craft decluttering going on. And ebaying. Woo-hoo! We'll be rich with clutter free homes! And if anyone has a British Heart Foundation shop near them they can collect furniture and electricals - another place to donate to. http://www.bhf.org.uk/shop-with-bhf/our-shops/shopping/furniture-and-electrical.aspx

I'm up to 90 of my target of 140 things to go in 7 days. So am going to have a kip(!) then push forward. Happy decluttering everyone.

  • Hi Empty, do you remember that programme called the Life Laundry? It was only when people had all their stuff out of the cluttered rooms could they truly see what they've got. Hope you declutter lots! :A

I have the Life Laundry book somewhere in this house too! Why don't they ever repeat that? They repeat lots of other progs eg Cash in the Attic, Place in the Sun (from 2004 - got very excited at the prices until saw the date of the show at the end!)

Well done pigpen! Our council does a ragbag collection of old materials, hopefully the socks can go to that "sock heaven in the sky" :rotfl:
