Not done much in the last few days but feel I am becoming more aware of dumping rubbish as it appears rather than putting it aside for finding its way to the bin another day.
IN
Post - mainly dealt with
Food shopping - Tesco had some great bargains in reduced meat yesterday
Newspaper - Tv mag kept for this week. Newspaper read & put in recycling
OUT
Used up a couple of tolietries - bottles from these recycled
Used up bottle of kitchen cleaner - bottle recyled & replaced by one from stash
Emptied kitchen bin
Decided plates I was going to take to CS were not good enough so have now been binned
Started to shift round furniture in living room as I am now getting quite excited about my fire & surround that should be delivered this week.
Have lived in this house nearly eight years since inheriting it from my Mum & have always had the living room arranged as my parents had it. Don't know why I never changed it even though it was all my furniture & not theirs but now I've changed it around I wish I had done it years ago.
I am also going to get DS to put up my new wall lights to replace Mum & Dad's ones. Bought the replacements nearly 3 years ago and never got round to changing them.0 -
Today I decided to move the furniture around in DD's bedroom to create more room, I then decided to try and remove the wax from the carpet where she spilt a candle.
Unfortunately I managed to burn  the carpet while removing the wax with the iron & paper.
On a positive note 14 Ebay sales tonight :j0 -
OOo lots of progress, ebaying and the like.
I've now decided what my next de-clutter challenge will be. To get rid of 140 items in 7 days. So an average of 20 things a day. I need to focus on 3 hotspots - the living room, master bedroom and spare room. I've got rid of about 11 things tonight but will report all the bits and bobs once I've got to 20.
Good luck everyone - every little helps.:hello:

Wow, that's ambitious, especially as you've got rid of 284 already!! But if you've got a very cluttered house, it will be possible. Good luck with that, look forward to seeing the results!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Hi loopychriss, all inspired from you! With your idea of getting rid of 100 things in 10 days. The house is really bad. A combination of 'orrible life events has meant that the house was effectively abandoned. I am so aware that the home has an important role to nurture you, to be a sanctary at the end of the day. It's time to get a home back! Plus having a target really helps focus my mind. Thanks loopychriss. Hope to report some good progress. :A

Thats great MsHalffull. Dont go into detail about what the shop staff said. Quote the legislation to them, fit for purpose, durable that sort of thing. How disappointed in the quality. Make it clear what you want them to do. Refund etc. Best of luck. :A
