Go on then, Jim's name was?
Not Froonc.
It was, poor little kid.
Jim was called Chico and is KC registered as 'Its Chico time' - not my taste and I don't want to upset the girl who called him that, cos if it wasn't for her unselfish act, I wouldn't have him...Genie

I was never really a poodle fan I just used to think of the standard ones with the daft show haircuts!! But I love the miniature ones and I think Jim is gorgeous such a poser!:D

He's supposed to be a toy - but he is too tall, but too short to be a miniature! He has a white chin (beard) and white bits down his chest - his dad was black and his mum was white - quite a 20th century dog! And I have him cut in a not very 'poodle' way!
I like that they don't dock their tails anymore and they sort of curl over now ..I am extremely lucky to have him, he loves people and adores children, goes mental to play with them! He's a lovely soul. Poodles are (apparently) the second cleverest dogs, coming after border collies. According to a survey I read somewhere..... :rotfl:

Thanks! I don't like the poodle cuts at all, any of them - but I like the dogs! Bright and funny! Jim is very nosy - and spends alot of his time on his back legs - I'm sure he was a meerkat in a previous life...
I wonder how Paddy is doing?
I'm back to work tomorrow...I'll not be online a lot - hope I don't miss too much!

What lovely news - so glad he is home and safe now. If the rescue is similar to the one Im involved in, all volunteers without their own kennels, its very common to know very little, well nothing actually, about the dogs. If he has had an elderly, frail owner he may not have had a lot of fun times. I remember the little dog next door with our elderly neighbour, he didnt seem to know how to play when we had him with us. And she used to give him piles of food in different bowls all over the house.
You probably know most of my dogs have been rescues. Little Diggs, our newest boy - 2 and half years now, times flies - didnt bark for about 3 weeks when he came home. He was quite shocked when our other boy used to fly down the hall on his 2.5 paws to bark at anyone coming to the door. Now it mayhem with both of them. Ralph will start and Diggs will join in whole heartedly. Diggs also had an undescended testicle. He was neutered at the rescue and sorted then. He was also chipped and had his first vaccination (which sadly had to be repeated as our vets didnt have compatible stuff).
The scooting and runny poo is probably due to the change in diet and anxiety. It will be sure to improve as he settles. Is he house trained otherwise?
Very best of luck to you both. xxx
Jeannie, what a cheeky little character you have there0 -
Oh, Ive been using Orijen for a few months but I actually think Royal Canin suited mine better and will be going back to that once this latest sack is finished.0

You hethmar have tried it, so why go back to Royal Canin?
You obviously noted a difference, what was it?
At present, Paddy is being fed on what I have left from Jaffa. That is, dozens of Hill Science tins plus biscuits.
Five poos today is not good, plus more. There are posters on here who say, "my dog does one a day"
Why can't I get a one a day dog?0
