Oh dear, think I need to join you ladies (and gents if there are any?) on this thread. Need to make a confession. I was putting a new lightbulb in the sitting room and realised how much dust there was on the lightshade - and while I was on the steps I could see the top of the bookcase, and the curtain track, and the mirror - eeek!

Now for the excuses, I have a full time job, 2 kids and an OH who isnt very domesticated. How do you do it? Is it just a question of setting aside a bit of time each day, even if it means getting up a bit earlier/going to bed a bit later.

    I need some encouragement!
  • On the topic of over-protectiveness, among my many sins in the eyes of my MIL is overprotectiveness, I am quite happy to hold my hands up to that one, as the alternative is you pay so little attention to what your kids are doing that your DD gives your DS an overdose of prescription drugs age 3 and you don't even take him to hospital like she did!!!!! love my MIL!

    eta welcome yorkshirelass

    cooked quick pizza for DS
took few more armfuls of decs upstairs (doing it as I go - all will be done before bed as its all over my bed!)
put dining room back as it should be (house guests meant more table space needed over the holidays) and we have more space again - yipee

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

I've done some ironing . Despite all today's sorting I STILL can't find the safe keys... :o Would I have put them into the spare suitcases :confused: I can see I'm going to have to turn the house upside down.

Another load of washing is drying, so for now I need to go and supervise the fire and make sure that it gets going properly sometime between now and me going to bed...

Oh ... and walks... anyone who wants to do a 3.5 mile walk in Selborne on 23rd PM me or Froddy (or if anyone wants to do a 5 mile one, I might do one of them in the morning and one in the afternoon :D)
