Jo.. were the 'mouse droppings' maybe the 'cocoons' from the maggots turning into fruit flies? They are usually reddish brown but if have been there in potato goo for a day or 2 they do turn black and look for all the world like mouse poop.
Unfortunately not - those were there too....and were different. The mouse poop was definitely poop Im afraid.Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Euwwww!
Thanks for the mouse poo / maggot / fly chat whilst i'm decluttering a bowl of soup.
Change in plan - I asked DH to get the Christmas decoration boxes out of attic. He said no. I said fine, you take the decorations down tomorrow after work. He said he'd get boxes. I said he could bog off:rotfl:. I am soooooooo not childish:D.
Now i'm going to veg in front of the tv! I'll unload dishwasher when it's ready xx0 -
I didn't manage to get any jobs done last night - think the lavender pillow made me sleepy and I dozed on the settee until DH came home. My neck is fine today, but now have just a bit of lower back pain, so will be careful. So far I've taken down the Christmas cards and typed up a new card list on the laptop. Also sorted out my handbag/receipts and started a spending diary from 1st January.
I promised DS2 a visit to the toy shop to spend his Christmas money. Just a couple of jobs to do first: empty/re-fill and start DW, take towels out of WM and put pork joint in oven. We should be out just after 2pm. Also need to take plastic rubbish to Mr A for recycling and take bread to feed ducks.
I'll update tonight.

Christmas decorations are down, decluttered, re-boxed, and ready to go back in the loft - am hoping DS will help me do that bit later today.
I've hoovered the lounge - its amazing how many "needles" even an artificial tree sheds  and did a proper job, moving furniture, doing skirting boards etc, in the hope I can avoid doing it tomorrow
WM on second load, DW has done and been emptied, DS is all packed ready to go to France, and I am going to enjoy a cup of coffee before doing something else productive.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Happy new year to all:beer: I've not been posting this week, but have been flying. My list is looking ok so far and I'm feeling quite organised, but really dreading going back to work tomorrow. I always feel like this after a break - I think I really need to find a new job. Shame I work in the property industry, so I'm lucky to have hung onto this one so far:rolleyes:
