rosepink I thought you were joining the weight and fitness challenge - choc truffle cake wont help!:rotfl:
You are so right Toots :o In my defense, I was supposed to be going to a chocolate party this evening, but couldn't go cos felt poorly so I reckoned that one slice of cake was better than all the goodies I was missing out on...that's no excuse really is it! Ah well, tis eaten and I will be good now promise! How are you today? I hope you are warm enough, it sounds really cold up there.

    Welcome KoolKid

Soappie NN’s burn does sound worrying, I would defo take her to the drop in centre – it doesn’t hurt to get checked out. My friend did this the other week to her hand and it was really nasty, her husband had to take her straight to hospital. If the burn is bigger than the palm of your hand then she needs to get checked, but as it’s blistered so badly I would go even if it’s smaller than the palm of the hand

I've cried my eyes out at the ending of Casualty, which is stupid cos I've never watched it before and don't intend to again, but I couldn't cope with the ending (won't spoil it if you are watching it later). It was so sad. I've been tearful for a few days now, so I spose it's good I got some tears out.

I think I've left a message on FB about the fitness challenge but had computer problems when typing it.

    Night night everyone xx

Triker wow all go at your house :) woot! We don't like sausage meat pie either, pleurgh. After a google I do know what emma bridgewater is after all, I don't have any, is that bad? Good luck with the new chooky whichever it is
ooouch that sounds nasty soappie, hope NN is ok. You don't want the snow if just ice is causing issues, we have snow on ice and it's gastly!
tooch, thanks, I am sure he will once he gets over going to school :rotfl:
    Mumof2 yup, done it
rach good point, bol sauce freezer, I best do that before bed.
rosepink I cried loads too, very very sad

    Ok before bed

Dog out for pee (think he's getting used to the snow now and does a mad run around the garden)
Put anything else I find that needs washing in the DW, start if full
Get clothes out for in the morning, I can see it taking ages to get there...oh need the YC keys hmm
Finish small shopping list for tomorrow
    Write tomorrows to do list
Look to see if there is any episodes of Midnight Caller on youtube or something as I've had a sudden urgh to watch it
Order a Sky+ remote off ebay, given up finding the other one for now and we used it for TV too as kids broke that one
Look at buying another remote for TV (if anyone works in an electricals shop it's one of these http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UE40B7020WWXXU/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail and no idea where to get another....going to email samsung)

Oh, funny one DP is, the looney who is still at work gave me £180....his contribution this week towards bills, in nothing more than a £2 coin, most in much smaller coins.......argh!!! I hate it when he does that. So I've paid the milkman in £1s....then filled a ferrero box! If I say I don't want it he will say fine but getting nothing else. It's so he doesn't have to go to the bank when he gets too much change again like I made him week before Christmas. Muppet!
One day I might be more organised...........

As I'm not really back in properly until Monday....thought I'd post my own list of what I have achieved today! Some are Pigpen's list...some are my own...
    • Cleaned out cutlery drawer
    • Wiped the top of the kitchen cupboards :eek: - still got 2 more lots to do - going to ask DH to do them though as he's taller & probably won't have to have a mild panic attack about falling off the kitchen surface whilst trying to reach up that high:rotfl:
    • Conquered the ironing mountain:T - even my DH's ironing, which I've refused to do over the last couple of months...but he's not bothered by it, and I am, so just wanted rid of the pile!!:o
    • Taken down the tree, lights etc. All packed up and back in the loft.
    • Thrown away a set of lights....so many had gone, it would cost more to buy replacement bulbs than it will do to buy a new set!
    • Cleaned all the skirting boards, mirrors and windows in the lounge. Also cleaned the UPVC window frame.
    • Polished and vacuumed lounge - even pulled out the furniture to do underneath!
    • 2 loads of washing and 2 loads of drying
    • Tided boy's room - they are going to clean it tomorrow;)
    • Filled another binbag with rubbish!
    • Got photos/ornaments out of packing boxes....ready for when we have to start showing people round again!
    • Swished and swiped the kitchen
Phew...think I achieved quite a lot really......will all change once I'm back at work and kids back at school/nursery...but will hopefully be able to keep on top of things, with the help of this thread!!:j

No, it's not bigger than the palm of her hand which is why all I've done is dress it so far. The blister is about 1.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches long. It's not pretty but is just a blister.. but the fact it's on her foot worries me. I have banned her from wearing anything but loose fitting slippers until Monday.

    xmas-smiley-010.gifMorning lovely flyladies,
Jinkypinks - I love the idea that carrot cake can be cake and one of your five a day too giggle.gif. Really glad you have your daughter with you for a few days too.
Rosepink - kiss.gif Hugs as ever hon
Poppy - hugs and positive vibes
Mumof2 - I know I am a bit late here to comment, but honesty between a couple can only be good and I am sure with the amount of honesty and emotional maturity you are both showing that things can only improve. Sometimes we lose who we are when being a mum/dad/husband/wife and you need to remember the two single people who met and fell in love. Good luck honey.
LadyL - smooch.gif . I know all your secrets young lady (flying helmets and a stick of wet celery spring to mind) but obviously wouldn't spill the beans for anything. [STRIKE]Unless it was cold hard cash :p:p[/STRIKE]
Pigpen - Of course you can cry at TV programmes.. If they have a good story, just like a novel or a piece of beautiful poetry, you can get emotionally involved for a while! I speak as one who cried for 20 mins at the end of Dr Who AND shed a tear or two at the very end of Casualty and often cries while reading a novel! But I do realise not everyone is moved by the same things! giggle.gif
THIS video made me laugh - It has a cute kitten in it so it's worth a look..
Hope everyone has a peaceful and loving Sunday
