Dogs walked and I've brushed the snow/ice/sleet off the front path, the path down the side of the house and the path to the dogs loo! It's hard work!

I'm going to take the cards down now as a start for taking the decorations down. I don't really want it all to go which is the first year i've felt like that. It was a good Christmas this year probably because I strung it out before Christmas with Jinky. Awwww.....he has to go back to Father Christmas now (he got to stay until the decorations go because they've enjoyed having him!).

Right, I'm prattling! Cards it is - anyone joining me in taking theirs down xx

    Afternoon ladies

Head still banging but I do have a cold so hoping that as it comes out more, head will clear. have bought some cold and flu meds which have same active ingredients as sinutab as thats where it feels but they were several pounds cheaper :money:.

Thanks greenbee, crafty lilme and piggers for comments re DD. I do tend to go in ham-fisted which is why DD didnt want to tell me in the first place but we have talked about it (and it was a game suitable for 3 years up I think!!!) and she seems happy with me. I will wait until Monday and see how she feels about walking to school with the little moo.

Vanilla  hope you have plenty of supplies in, poohbear and the scottish contingent too as it doesnt look good for the next few days.

ragz and brummiebabe - welcome back

Today got up late again and had a soak in the bath. Then took DS to his friends house, who live in the middle of fenland with ditches both sides of the road, didnt like the roads at all and then spotted emergency vehicles on the road ahead. DS says you turn round here mum, I know you dont like driving in it I'll walk from here and before I knew it he'd jumped in the car and was legging it down the road . I am such a wimp driving on snow and icy roads now, how on earth did I do emergency runs in it before :o. Anyway DD and I were halfway between home and the next town so decided to shop there for a change. Spent £100 in Mr A and I thought it was supposed to be cheaper . Drove home then in an absolute blizzard as it started snowing heavily again and couldnt get hold of DS to see if he wanted picking up again so he could be stuck there for the night.

So now I have to sort the fridge as I have more food than I really need. Think I'll get DD to help me then I'll help her do her room.

    Back later methinks
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

We'll see - was my fave machine down the gym - always saved it until last as a reward...
Joining the FB health challenge are you??? :p
greenbee I had a thought (yes a whole one!) about your woodburner. Are you de-ashing it too often? Once a week does the job for ours, as a layer of ash seems to really help it to get hot.
It's multifuel, so has a raised grate - strangely the wood burns well (air from top only) but coal doesn't (air from below). However, given the problems I had with wood previously, I suspect the coal issue is a quality one

jo - don't forget to get linked in up to date (and get some recommendations if you can think of someone appropriate to provied them). I've probably still got a copy of your CV in my sent email somewhere if you want it back....;)

Went shopping. Spent lots of money. Bought lots of stuff. Got back @ 3, unpacked and ate lunch while catching up with you all. Now have to put it all away... I may be gone some time.
