Afternoon everyone. Very cold here and it was bad walking on the main street. Got my shopping and back home soon as I could. Tree and decorations are down and packed away. Living room hoovered and dusted. Kitchen and bathroom S&Sed. Does anyone elses cat like going out in the snow? Jake has been out for about an hour this morning in it and wouldnt come in. Just decluttering a cuppa and thinking I need to put the heating on. Oh and looks like my MSN addy has been hijacked.

juliejim Happy birthday to your DD :bdaycake:

It will either have a been a layer of bitumen painted onto the second or third course of bricks or a layer of slate between the 2nd and third course. They rarely did anything else.

Would have been the bitumen then because there's no sign of slate....

Afternoon Ladies - am going to rejoin the thread if that's ok? Don't get chance to post as much as I'd like to normally, but will update whenver I can! Definately need to get back into FLYing mode - house needs to go back on the market (AGAIN!!) in the next week, so could do with something to help me keep it in order - which with 3 kids is not that easy:rotfl:.

Am trying to work my way through some of last week's list - but won't be able to do it all! Will start properly when the new list is up!!;)

HHC turned into an hour, briefly interrupted by SIL coming and taking kids away.
    Managed quite a lot -
    Washed up
S&S kitchen surfaces (still need to do table and cooker)
Took down all decs apart from tree (when do they have to be down??)
    Put a wash on
Put pressies in our room away
Removed OHs clothes from floor but apparently am not allowed to wash them!
    Tidied xmas stuff away
    Made kids beds

Found slippers that need returning to Pricelessshoes, discovered there's a shop in Bexhill-on-Sea so OH has agreed to take me to return them (I could go but I'd get lost!), to save on postage. Better go feed him first though!

I did it! The xmas trees and decs have all been decluttered to the loft, I have answered about 4 phone calls including an IT one from work! (yes honest) I did the famous 'Have you tried turning it off and back on again line' :rotfl:
    Football is cancelled tomorrow:T
    *phone rings*
    FIVE phone calls!

and DD is out on a sleepover tonight and my sis and BIL are on their way round now.

Have made DS's bed and removed a glass and a can from his room that have been there SINCE LAST YEAR :rotfl:
My bed turned down airing and will make that and DDs bed shortly (Normally I wouldn't but we were VERY late home this morning and they struggled to get up for their dad.)

Hav vacuumed UPMTEEN fruit flies out of the dining room light fitting (they wait till I have cleaned it then commit hari-kiri to thwart me...)

And vacuumed round. All the cards are in a box for DD to sort through (she wants to keep some for crafting I think) then they will go to the recycling.

I counted my 'winnings' from playing cards last night. Did rather well actually!:D:D:D:D coppers and 5ps now in jars to build up to bankable amounts.

    Oh and washing in TD.

No wonder I overshot the half hour...
    now having a quick :coffee:

hi all - I have done a load of dishes, cleared up most of the mess I made in the kitchen decluttering!! Ive put away a load of food which I brought back from uncles and non-perishables which had been in the dining room.

Ive cleaned my microwave properly as on closer inspection it needed it - as well as clearing the top and also did the front of the washing machine which was manky again from the dog!

Am going to work on my meal planner now and hopefully not have to do much of a shop this weekend!!

ETA: Actually washing machine is finished so off to take down the dry and have up the wet.....

    Afternoon all

Not getting very far today, been to town, done some laundry that is it. Off out in 30 minutes and I need to nip to the corner shop first so I'll have to tackle my list later.

I'll be glad to get some semblence of a routine back, not least because I haven't had any time to myself because people are always here.

Also I must Ebay 10 things today in order to catch up with my own personal Ebay challenge.

Good luck with your challenge, I've done well putting a few bits on a week and am starting to see the difference both in cash and clutter clearing.

Decluttered some chocolates into DH - I taste go 'I don't like that one' and he eats them:rotfl:

    Afternoon!

    So far today I have:

Done one lot of washing, WM on again
Been out for DS's bus pass
Cleared a small pile of carp from the doorway of the spare room
put bottles in back of car ready to be recycled (took them down too but someone's stolen the clear and green bins!)
Put some stuff in a bag for charity shop
Put school hols on calandar in kitchen
Started decluttering the death trap that is my stairs

Big one this - taken a photo of every room in the house (pretending it's Jan 1st not 2nd) so I can look back and see how much better the place is looking :T

    This afternoon I will:
    Mark 5 essays
Drop charity stuff off at a charity shop
    Buy some fruit and veg
Finish decluttering stairs and vacuum them

Will be back later to report in - this is ace!!!
