I hate to bore you all but we had even more snow last night and it is snowing again. Toots You are right, Huskies would be handy, poor little collie is too small for the snow. It is much deeper than her and she hangs on for hours, avoiding going outside.

I tried to find the hens replacement water tray and gave up (I couldn't find their other one two days ago) and gave them an old tin from in the house. I put their food in their house too as they won't go out.

The other side of the wall is typical red brick with a pea shingle trench and air vent and things at the bottom of it. No idea what the original damp course was made from as the house is over 100 years old. And yes, the plaster was all knocked off and replaced. No sign of damp at all now, some 9 months or so later.

It will either have a been a layer of bitumen painted onto the second or third course of bricks or a layer of slate between the 2nd and third course. They rarely did anything else.

How did you all get on.....?

We were all with you valli, we just didnt know it x

In my HHC I emptied all the rubbish out of the fridge which is beyond saving. I have a load of peppers, mushrooms, carrots and potatoes which need using up so i think I might just chuck them all in the SC and make a curry or a veg casserole.

Chucked out a load of rubbish from the fridge and my binbag dance, put a wash on, took down the christmas lights from the dining room, decluttered my kitchen windowsill hotspot.

Started getting littleys school clothes together and put his school coat in the machine. I found a £10 in his pocket.....which means he forgot to give it to the teacher for his school dinners the last week of school

Kitchen is a bit of a mess now that ive started hauling everything out - lol - but another half hour and I should be ok.

Anyone else for another HHC??? x

  • In my HHC, I...sorted out two bags, found assorted food and restored it to the pantry (chocolate lollies, raisins, cereal bars), put another load of washing on, and another on the airer, put a "slow down for horses" sticker on my car (?!) returned loads of things to their homes, and thats about it.

    How did you go, valli?

Soappie i'm glad to hear that the damp proofing has worked, we have it to do in our room and bathroom except it's a stone wall.

Our lane is back to being an ice ring, i was gonna do an online order for
Mr T but i doubt they would be able to get up the lane.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
