jo - if you're thinking of moving to London, remember that there are plenty of us on here who can help (not soappie though... she's allergic to the place
:p)
Thanks Greenbee - Im currently trying to work out the realities of finding a house, a job, a school and facilitating a move all at the same time.....but watch this space!toottifrootti wrote: »thanks toochoosey - not my normal sort of music choice but I did enjoy it - but I still aint happy about my little friend going to work there:rotfl:
I know Toots, I know, but I promise I will be good and careful. Im thinking of SW London - I have an aunt and uncle who live there and there are lots of parks and acitivites for the little one. Schools seem to be pretty good and Ive had a look at the available jobs and working hours vs. salary and all things considered, it seems to be the right choice. Plus - like greenbee says, there are lots of flyladies around too to look after me!
I just dont know what to do first. Do I get a house, school and the move sorted first and then find a job - or get a job first and then move?? Ideally Id like to move first and then find a job like I did last time, but I cant afford to be unemployed this time. I dont know how I would manage travelling back and forward to London for interviews and still manage house, job, school etc here.
These are all the things Im still weighing up - but dont worry - I wont just up and move like I did last time xx Plus - Ill still be visiting scotland and will see you anywayxx
Right - I am still at my uncles and in my pjs! Im going to have a quick look for a printable meal planner and print it off before I go home. My house shouldnt be too bad which should give me a chance to do some decluttering and flinging whilst its actually clean.... xxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Morning all
I've been looking through Friday's list and I've done everything that applies to me (don't do Amazon or ebay) so I think I can call that complete
I've made a cottage pie for dinner so I've just got to turn the oven on later. It's funny because you still do the same amount of work but it feels like a day off if you make something earlier in the day and only have to turn the oven on later!
DH's last morning dogsitting! At last! When he gets back I'll have bedding and stuff to wash, not enough in the basket yet but I think there will be two loads later.
I've even been into DH's "train room" and cleared away stuff that is nothing to do with trains.....give him an empty space and he'll fill it with crap. I've found a permanent place for his new camera/bag and the boxes it came in.
Just waiting for the washing to turn up now. Best wishes to everyone who is going through difficult times at the moment, let's hope that as the year goes on it will all become easier and clearer.0 -
LL - lots of loves and vibes winging their way to you. Sometimes the hardest choice is right one. xx

Cranberry and water seem to have done it's work a big thank you for your messages.
No flying as out for the day, however will have to catch up tomorrow.
DD is recking havoc as she cant find somehting she should have put away and is now blaming everyone else. Heaven help me. this is my punishment for being so disorganised and not passing on the tidyness habit. Ho Hum. Her 19year old lungs work well.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

In my HHC, I managed to do the Mr S online order and make soup. The smell of carrot and coriander soup cooking takes me right back to the early '90s, which I guess ages me a bit. Yum.

Job first. Definitely. I'm sure that you can always stay with your aunt and uncle for a week or so, or call on a flylady or two to help you find short-term accommodation. And schools have to deal with this kind of thing all the time (but make sure you work out where you want to be down to street level, as the good schools can be over-subscribed). Moving without a job would be far, far too risky.
kazm - thinking about it... could you not question the parents as to why they were letting the girls play such a violent game (no idea whether it was, but they obviously see it as such) and voice your concerns about it. Your DD obviously has good reflexes - it's not about temper, it's about reaction times and make sure she's aware of that. Mind you, maybe you can use the incident to tell her she has to be particularly careful about being lovely all the time and not losing her temper so that she's proving them wrong:D
Logs all moved out of the car and piled up and (hopefully) watertight. Charity shop stuff all back in car. Its VERY VERY cold outside. But lovely and bright. However, I'm not going to risk walking into the village in it on my own (I'm still scared of falling over again, so I'm going to get changed out of my log-moving stuff and drive to the PO and then into town (whichever way I look at it, I need to go ).
Hopefully I'll get hold of a couple of people locally who said they'd be around this weekend and go for a walk either today or tomorrow. If not, I'll have to brave the other town tomorrow and go to the gym... if I get there before 11 parking should be OK...0 -
