Shopping unpacked and put away. Chicken boiling in SC. Rest of weekend will probably be spent dealing with food. I have LOTS of veggies so hopefully will eat sensibly.

Boiled chicken will be cooked up with leeks & mushrooms as pie mix, and stock will be frozen. Then I will be making sausage casserole and soup... hope I can fit it all in the freezer

Bad news here though is that the boiler's broken down so no heating - apart from the fire in the LR - and no hot water.

I know how that feels, have you tried re-setting it, and don't you have an immersion heater? Warm hugs.

    I want some snow!!!

Could someone send me some please?? I'm sure a lot of you would be grateful to get rid of some;)
I can send you a lot!

Lil_me Thanks for the idea about a little path for pooch. We have had a few made but during the night they fill in. I have had the dubious job of taking her out the last few mornings.
Hangovers, I presume, have kept the male members of the household in bed. I just don't know how much snow we have had but it is still snowing, a good few feet now. My plant pots outside had about 2 feet on top.

ssl I got a bit emotional about the thought of more snow on Tuesday. Then decided I am warm, fed and have my family and pooches here so I am doing well. DH and DSs can walk to PO with parcels for me and collect fresh food and pull it back up on the sledges.

Hopefully the main road will be open so DH can take DS3 back to college tomorrow..

pigpen Can we have a reminder to sort Christmas decorations before they go back in the loft please as we have a couple of boxes back up there which contain a load of carp. DH put them back up in the loft out of sight and I can guess I will forget and they will stay there till next Christmas.

serena You have just reminded me how luck I am not to be going back, ever. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Mudbath Well done on the soup. Great for weight loss if you are doing the challenge!
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

    :bdaycake:Happy Birthday LittleMissJulieJim

Been to town - have developed the habit of parking a little way out of the town centre and walking in and saving parking money.
In fact am wondering if I should put what I would have paid for parking in a tin...
Managed to get two more of the Natural collections sets reduced to £3 from £6 (and I think they were the last ones - they had been put on 'other' shelves IYSWIM as i realised they would be ideal xmas gifts for the girlies next doot later in the year. Also got a wooden Noughts and Crosses game £2 from £5 in M&S which was yelling STOCKING FILLER at me. They have all been logged on my xmas spreadsheet!

Serena I get a few of those powerpoints - I'll try and remember to pass them on to you if you like...

    Hiya

Didn't get back after the 10.30 HHC.. PC was kidnapped by DD, who needed help to write an email to outline all the shows and stuff she's been in for an audition
Then I made soup using the bits in the veg tray, cooked veg for making bubble and squeak for tea at the same time.
Then the dog had a seizure (she does that sometimes, not a new thing) but she is very clingy afterwards, so it was a good excuse to sit down and watch Doctor Who while we cuddled.

But I did S&S the kitchen and attack a couple of hotspots in the meantime.

Just took the washing out the machine and found "rust" marks on it  Now I have to run my machine on a maintenance wash and clean the filter etc before I can put them back through with some bleach - thankfully its old bedding or whites

    Afternoon!

    So far today I have:

Done one lot of washing, WM on again - all done, just trying to dry it all now
Been out for DS's bus pass
Cleared a small pile of carp from the doorway of the spare room
put bottles in back of car ready to be recycled (took them down too but someone's stolen the clear and green bins!)
Put some stuff in a bag for charity shop
Put school hols on calandar in kitchen
Started decluttering the death trap that is my stairs

Big one this - taken a photo of every room in the house (pretending it's Jan 1st not 2nd) so I can look back and see how much better the place is looking :T

    This afternoon I will:
Mark 5 essays done 3 so far, brain is struggling to get back in gear
    [STRIKE]
Drop charity stuff off at a charity shop
    [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]
    Buy some fruit and veg
Finish decluttering stairs and vacuum them
    [/STRIKE]

Will be back later to report in - this is ace!!!

Also cleared out a tiny bit of the spare room - found the table again! Threw out my 2006 and 2007 diaries, probably don't need those anymore :o (no idea where 2008 or 09's is or they'd have gone too). Found an orange in the bottom of a bag than had turned into a rock :o Oh, I'm such a mucky mare :rotfl:

Just having a cuppa then will do a bit more marking, groan
    Updating soon...
