That's the longest lie-in I've had in ages - got up just after twelve. I didn't drink much last night, so I'm not feeling too bad. Have decluttered breakfast and catching up with the thread may not happen after all. Time to get washed and ready to go out.
I want to find time today to earn at least one snowman and for some reflection/planning for next year.

One major issues for 2010 is to get my finances organised. I want to work out a DFD and plan a realistic budget. I know that many flyladies are very experienced with all of this and I wonder if you can help me with some advice. Whatever system I put in place needs to be easy to keep up and not time consuming. I can't afford to get involved long-term with any other threads. Could you tell me what has worked best for you?

I'm mindful that this is off-topic - maybe you could reply via pm, so it doesn't clutter up this thread? I'd really appreciate your help.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

I use MSMoney to keep track of our finances, have done since we got our first pc back in 2001  One of the best bits of advice I could give is to get a print out of all your DDs/SOs (from the bank if you can't get a list online) and go through them. Which are necessary and which are luxuries, then how can you go about reducing the cost of any of them ie switching, ditching or renegotiating. Always go through your bank statements and try to note down where all those cash withdrawals are going. It is amazing how much cash gets spent on nothingness. It will take a little time to get into the habit but like flylady it should get easier and quicker. HTH

Ben does that too despite being well fed. I did some research on it and it is something to do with the high fat content - the equiv of chocolate for dogs apparently. Disgusting!

Asbo dog is horrendous for all this sort of stuff too - when I asked the Vet about eating poop (He is 3 and still does it), she told me that they see it as 'wasted protein' so they eat it again! Gross. He eats EVERYTHING and anything. We have to be careful what we leave in his reach. His particular favourites are socks and tissues.....

They worst thing he has eaten to date was a needle and thread - having to have the needle removed from the vet still didnt teach the daft dog a lesson.

This past year has been so full of stresses and strains that I dont even want to list them again to be reminded. But I can categorically state that you Flyladies made my life easier in so many ways and helped me in ways I never dreamed. Words cant really convey my gratitude - but FedUp pretty much nailed how I feel.....
I have filled my glass with wine to raise it to all the Flyladies who supported me through the last year.

All the friendship and support on here helped me more than I ever imagined.

Now it is at the end of the year I am ready to say ta ta to it and goodbye and welcome in a New Year.
Wishing all the Flyers a healthy and happy and prosperous New Year!

What would I have done without you all - house in order, regimented cleaning easy now! Decluttering away - miles away from where I was a year ago.

Feeling a positive and happy New Year is on it's way with the New Moon!

So here I go, raise a glass and say Cheers to you all!

    Decisions decisions

Shall I use my new bag today? (gift; will see giver at the party) - think I will...

And where shall I put the roadkill?
Don't NEED it for CCs so I could either boost my bathroom fund or begin the fund for the next project. (Windows/doors/kitchen)

Anybody chipping in - the bathroom fund is in an ISA; when bathroom in and paid for the next project money will go in there.

Updated list in the hypno household - getting there slowly but surely. I've also changed the curtains in both the childrens rooms, and changed the lightshade for DS to one more appropriate to his age - instant makeover......I now need to wash the old curtains and get them into the car boot box.

Off to do another load in the washing machine - I will do the empty cycle when this next load has finished.........and the same with the dishwasher.

msgnomey you are brave tackling the cupboard under the stairs.......it would take me a whole day to do ours.......something for me to do when I am on top of everything else, I think.......although it would be very satisfying to have it done, I must say! Good luck with your mission!
