I am really annoyed that Natwest seem to think £250 covers all that they have put me through! For instance, i am claiming for: Loss of face in the business community, vat increase ( about £400 for my van!) .Loss of wages as self employed ( 8 meetings with Branch manager,) so had to leave jobs early...lost money!.Embassment of getting turned down for finance for a van twice, (as was unaware that Natwest had put markers on my credit file, the first time.) I then had to buy my new van from a different dealership, as i has been declined twice for finance! i was also mis-sold the ppi in the first place . I also still had to pay my employee, while i was in the bank meetings, so lost money there too. It's not just the inconvenience, its the stress and worry of not having a new van to get to work. As self- employed.....no work ....no money! £250 just does not cover my losses, let alone anything else!
Hope this makes my case a little clearer! Don't know if i will get anywhere, but i feel i cant just let them do this to me, and get away with such a small amount!

To date I have found most of the posts on these boards to be reasonable and valid, this one however beggars belief. I have read part of the email trail but as soon as I came to the point where the OP is claiming recompense from the bank for, quote, loss of face, embarrassment and worry I lost the will to live.

I may apply to my bank for 25k loan for a round the world trip and then sue them for disappointment and hurt feelings when they turn me down :-)

The OP needs to drop his crusade and move on. He has been recompensed, but feels that he is entitled to more.

    RIGHT,
Crusade has now finished and I can move on with my 2k in my pocket.
Went to court they sent down a barrister and I won.
So all you people with your opinions are completely wrong.Think there is a saying " Have not got a clue what your going on about".
So the crux of the matter is, if I had listen to a load of people who bully people who they think have a £1 less then than them..I would be 2k down.
So not money saving a tall. Ha ha ha. Think I will be going on a little trip soon without any hurt feelings.

I'm glad you won but peoples view on this forum are just that and if you don't want views that you may not agree with then I suggest you don't post again.

FWIW I agree that you should have pushed it and if you got 2k then I think this is a fair amount for the compensation.
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

  • Well done!
Don't mind admitting I was wrong. Hope you got costs awarded as well?
